"Small and old but is clean and has pretty much all necessary amenities such as soap, shampoo, conditioner, coffee, continental breakfast, wifi, iron, hairdryer. Beds are too old and make tons of noise. Mattresses are too soft. But overall we were happy with our stay here."

"Loved staying at the Sweet Spot! It was easy to find, quiet and relaxing. My mom and I stayed for two nights. The first night after travel, we stayed in and made dinner there. The kitchen was well-stocked in equipment, and I was impressed that everything was labeled and color-coordinated! The only thing I found wanting was cooking spray. We made eggs in the morning and non-stick spray would have been helpful. It's something I didn't think to buy, but a little extra scubbing still got the pan clean. The entire property inside and out was very clean! I am picky and have stayed at several VRBO properties. Usually, I see grimy areas around light switches or door knobs, scuffs on walls, dust on fans and lamps, etc. Not here. I loved that we each had our own comfortable bed and bathroom. The master bathroom was a little lacking in water pressure in all modes of spray. I thought maybe it was because my mom was showering in the other bathroom, but the second night, that was not the case and I still had weak water pressure. It works well for the rain shower head, but if I had to wash my thick, curly hair, I would need to use the smaller bathroom. It was very powerful with adjustment in there. This wasn't a huge deal, and I would definitely stay here again with NO hesitation. The updates were beautiful, and I could tell the host put a lot of thought and effort into the decor and amenities. The washer/dryer was so appreciated also! We even had relaxing morning coffee chats on the patio."

"Great cabin for the 4 of us. The owner was very quick to reply to any questions i had. As well as communication throughout our stay. "

"Great house for family gatherings! We had 14 in our Trost Girl Cousins group and had everything we needed. Bedrooms and bedding were fantastic. We mostly stayed at the house and the kitchen was thoroughly stocked - two fridges, every utensil one could need, grill, plenty of everything! We had loads of room at the dining tables and the living area was great for lounging. The deck was perfect and the dock was great to have for floating on the water. The host was a super communicator and fast at responding to all our questions and needs. Can't imagine anything else we could have wanted or needed. Typically we travel to different places for our our annual trip but several of my guests suggested coming back again to Red Elk. "
