"The house has been renovated nicely and has most things that you need, except wifi! There is a reasonable telephone signal but we quickly used up our data roaming allowance as we were there to search for a property. There is a restaurant in the next village and a supermarket in Felletin which also hosts a country market on Friday mornings. It is lovely being in the middle of the Millevaches Plateau but that does mean it takes a long time to get anywhere. The host was very kind and helpful...

"Quietly located place in the forest at 5 km from major roads. Deer come to the garden in the evening. All facilities available even android TV on which you can cast movies and TV. Good starting place for walks. From 00:00 also very good for night photography. Well received and got a lot of information about the region and surroundings. Highly recommended for those looking for peace in the middle of nature."

"Onze week in deze woning : de ontvangst was prettig. Na aankomst bleek dat de wasmachine nier werkte. Dit bleek bij de eigenaar bekend. Een oplossing bleek er niet te zijn. Jammer. Verder waren veel lampen stuk.niet zo gezellig . Wat wij misten was de “finishing touch “ bij alles. Midden in de week zat er een gat in de muur naar de keuken waar we nog net een muis konden waar nemen. Op zich een mooi verblijf, maar het had met een beetje moeite wat gezelliger kunnen zijn."

"Prachtig groot huis. Keuken heeft werkelijk alles wat je nodig hebt om uitgebreid te koken. Fijn zwembad en jacuzzi. In de omgeving is het labyrint zeer leuk om te bezoeken omdat je er veel familiespellen buiten kan spelen. In de omgeving straattheater en markten. De tuin is prettig met genoeg schaduwplekken. Je kan badmintonnen en ping pong spelen. Omheinde tuin dus de kinderen konden hun gang gaan. Eventuele verbeteringen zouden zijn om niet in de ouderslaapkamer boven de jacuzzi te gaan...

"Centrally located for Eymoutiers, all the town could offer was within walking distance. The access details for the property was confused, as was communication with the host. Once that was resolved and we were met by the host our stay was relaxed and enjoyable."

"Our 3 week tour starting in the Ardeche valley, culminated in our last of 5 hotel stopovers being at Croix de Reh due to its proximity to the Lac de Vassiviere - a stunning location - pre planned on our trip. Croix de Reh was far and away the best of our hotel experiences on our entire trip. The property itself is full of old world charm and our room was spacious and extremely comfortable. Owners Peter and Galla are friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble in making us feel at home. Peter was on hand with a beer and a chat by the pool. And Galya prepared some fantastic meals. All at a very competitive price. We have no hesitation in offering the strongest recommendation for hotel Croix de Reh. "

"There is very nice parking lot for your car. The staff is excellent and check in was very nice with an actual person. No self check-in required. Just be aware there are no faciiites close by as you are out in the country. The hotel does have a nice restaurant service with limited outs and a bar with wine and beer and some other alcohol. The stay was very pleasant and I recommend it though only if you have your own transportation. There are faciiities close by but you would need a car to get there. "

"As a group of 9 friends we met here for our annual holiday. Property is in a good location, very quiet and lots of space. Rooms are all doubles and en suite. The shared spaces are large and plentiful. Lots of butterflies and lizards just outside the door which was lovely. The river is very close by and swimming in there was great. We had a problem with lots of flies at the property which was difficult as we had to keep the windows and doors open to keep the airflow through the property, it was heating up quickly in the hot weather. Nothing really to be done about it but just to mention.Some of the bathrooms were quite tired and a couple seemed to have been leaking into the rooms below. They were clean though. The kitchen is beautiful and large, the table is a very good size for everyone to sit around. We did clean half way through the week to see if that would help with the flies, there were some areas which were perhaps missed on a couple of previous cleans but nothing too bad. All in all, if you want time away with friends or family with lots of indoor and outdoor space this is a good affordable option. The owners were very good in all their communications. "
