My stay at Rayland Motel was generally a good experience. The room was comfortable, and the overall service met expectations. However, there were a few maintenance issues that could be improved. The toilet was not flushing properly, there was no hand wash provided, and the kitchen lights stopped working during our stay. Addressing these small issues would make the experience even better.

Be aware that this property requires a Credit Card. Your Visa Mastercard debit card isn't accepted. You will need a $100 deposit if you don't have a CC. This was refunded within the hour after checkout, though.

Very basic accommodation. Although fairly clean the sheets felt wet so unable to sleep at night. A water jug would be great to make a cup of coffee after a long journey. Wouldnt book again

Great location for access to South Auckland and motorways, a very easy walk to the Westfield Manukau. We stayed in a one bedroom suite. Young kids loved the stairs and the windows down to the main area, from the bedroom upstairs. We popped the single mattress from downstairs into the upstairs room, to sleep all four of us in the one space. Toilets took a few flushes to completely clear, which was a little unnerving but okay. We also popped a little paper in some of the road-facing windows, just to get a better seal from the road noise - others might not be bothered by the noise though. Staff were awesome and so willing to help. Overall, we enjoyed our two nights stay here. It was a good base for our activities.
We nabbed the downstairs mattress to sleep two adults and two younger children in the upstairs room.

Needs repairs and refreshing

The positive is that it was cheaper than any other place around in Manukau. Lovely people at reception. But the hotel room was in a poorly state. Really needs refreshing. The heating in the bedroom was not working so it got too cold at night. Next to a main road so quite noisy too.

I liked that it was located in close proximity to Manukau city mall and other fun activities for family but also to the public train and bus station. Nicely tucked away in quiet area.

Great for the price. Absolutely lovely lady at front desk when we arived. Comfortable stay and the only downside for me was the shower needs an upgrade asap! Other than that our room was clean and tidy.
