Summary:
A peaceful 1-bedroom condo with a lake view from your window, on your way from I-85 to Toomer's Corner. Quiet, beautiful, and a rejuvenating stay.
The Space:
Welcome to your lakeside retreat. This newly renovated ground-floor condo is one of Auburn's best kept secrets. You'll be in a beautifully designed, light-filled space with water views right from your window. The living room features leather Chesterfield-style sofas, curated artwork, and flows into a proper dining area perfect for meals in. The galley kitchen is fully equipped with granite countertops, new appliances, and a statement chandelier overhead. Every detail has been curated for your comfort. The bedroom is anchored by a King Size Casper Original mattress, flanked by matching blue and white lamps, with a full bathroom featuring gold fixtures and granite countertops connecting directly. In-unit laundry is located just across from the bathroom. This is the kind of place you won't want to leave, no matter how close it is to your visits in Auburn.
Guest Access:
As a guest, you'll have exclusive access to your single-level private apartment, comprising of a bedroom, full bathroom, full kitchen, and living room. In addition, you can enjoy all of Lakewood's amenities, including the communal pool, garden/backyard, tennis courts, volleyball court, and lake.
The Neighborhood:
Lakewood sits at one of Auburn's most convenient addresses, tucked behind the Aldi at the corner of East University and College Street, putting you within reach of nearly everything. Starbucks is steps away, Walmart is right around the corner, and you're surrounded by restaurants in every direction. Auburn University is less than a mile up the road, with Tiger Transit picking up nearby for easy campus access on weekdays. Coming in from I-85? You'll practically drive past the front door.
Just up the road, you'll find the Donald E. Davis Arboretum, the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art, and the Gogue Performing Arts Center, three of Auburn's most beautiful and underrated destinations. The community itself is quiet and wonderfully livable, a mix of students, families, and longtime residents, with tennis courts, volleyball, basketball, a communal pool, and the lake right on the grounds. It's the kind of neighborhood where you quickly feel like a regular.
Getting Around:
Getting around is easy! While many locations are within walking and biking distance, driving is often the most convenient. For game day travel, we suggest using your preferred ride-sharing app. Free and convenient parking is available on-site. Additionally, the Tiger Transit bus service has a stop here.
Other Things to Note:
This condo only has one door, which is the front door that opens out to the lake. To access the unit, you will park behind the building (I recommend parking between Building I and H), use the sidewalk to walk to the front of Building I (it's about 30 steps to the door), and your unit is the third door down from the right. The door lock should be recognizable as it is unique to this unit.
Also - try not to leave the front door open, especially at night. You are in Alabama and near a body of water, mosquitos will try to get in, so do your best to shut the door as quickly as possible when entering.
Baby equipment is available for rent. Please message after booking so that we can connect you to a trusted provider from BabyQuip.
This is a strict non-smoking property. A fine will be assessed if any smoking at all is detected inside the unit.
Please be aware that this is a pet-friendly property. Pets include cats. The property is thoroughly cleaned after each stay. A standard $150 Pet fees may be applied to your booking.
