We were a party of 11 (over 55 yrs) and The Penthouse had so many pro's. The location to the attractions was so convenient; being able to walk to Plaka, the museum and Acropolis was perfect (and quick)! Also being able to put our luggage in the storage space, when we arrived, until we checked in was a HUGE benefit, And Marianne and Eva were both a pleasure to work with. They were very helpful with all questions and getting any help (cars transfers). Now with the con's. While reading these, keep in mind for us this was a place to sleep, rest midday (siesta time is a thing in Athens), and start and end our days together. The view, from the pool area, in the evenings is magnificent. The pool: It really is just a large dipping pool, it's no more than 4' deep everywhere. We visited in August, so it was nice to cool off in, but wasn't really used by us, due to the size and depth. Also didn't feel like there was sufficient seating for all of us to sit up there together comfortably. The living space: it's BIG - not a con but it's loud because it's so big there are no rugs on the floor. to absorb any noise. Even with two or three conversations, with everyone in the room, it gets overwhelmingly loud. Area rugs would be a huge improvement. As would replacing the couches. They are old and worn, which is somewhat expected with a rental, but these are TOO worn and dated. Overall the location was fantastic, host was wonderful & very helpful, and accommodations are good, but not great.
