「Good stay in astoria, did not feel unsafe though we were two women travelling solo. Mildly loud at night but didn’t bother us」

「Because of the busy season, the room wasn’t ready around 6:00. However, staff were really trying hard. But I wanted to have some rest so it was disappointing. 」

「The lady at the reception desk was so unfriendly and gave us a dark and damp, no- bathtub room at the ground foor. We immediately requested her to change the room, but she flatly declined our request, saying this room was given according to a contract with Expedia. We couldn't believe such a room was prepared at the rate fixed with Expedia !!」

「Room was clean and property is in great proximity to everything you want to do in Astoria. But believe me when I tell you their walls are paper thin and so we may as well have been in a tent with all the road noise and ability to hear our neighbors. Bring earplugs or noise-cancelling headphones if you hope to get any kind of restful sleep.」

「Across the street ( no crosswalk ) is the pier trolly , regardless if the trolly runs or not it is a nice walk along the Columbia River . Easy access to downtown ,」

「My family has been staying at this hotel for decades, formerly known as The Crest. We stayed because it was a little hidden gem outside of town and it was cheap. 「I thought I was booking a room at the historic McMenamin's Gearhart Hotel. Our room ended up being in the annex next door. I asked if I clicked to choose the annex accidentally and was told that they randomly book folks into there. I should have called to specify. Oh, I didn't know. Next time.」
