Just an absolute treat to stay and Valda and Chucks place, one of the best places we have ever stayed. Just beautiful property well taken care of for you to enjoy. Trails to hike, babbling creek to wade in and open areas to stretch your legs. Everything you could need in the kitchen and homemade ice cream to welcome you on arrival. These host go above and beyond to make your experience at their cabins wonderful. Convenient to lots of great hiking at Rocky Creek State park or head out in the Cherokee or Pisgah national forests. Heck you can pick up the Appalachian trail a few miles up the road. Ziplines, rafting or tubing just a short drive and lots of big (Asheville, Johnson City) or small (Burnsville, Jonesborough, Erwin and others) within a 30 minute drive. Can't recommend highly enough and hope we can get back soon.

Chuck and Valda are the best hosts you could ask for! They provided helpful clear directions, shared fun historical stories about the property, and have all of the local suggestions on what to check out. This area is full of great places and we can't wait to come back and explore more! The cabins are cute, cozy, and offer anything you could need, within the most peaceful beaitiful area.

The mountain location with a nearby creek was exceptional. The fresh air, starry skies, and true quiet was rejuvenating. We will also miss the owner’s dog Robel; she was so sweet.

Amazing!

Valda and Chuck were so accommodating to us. We will definitely stay again. Our pets were welcome, and all we needed was there among the beautiful scenery.

Our stay was absolutely perfect! Gorgeous location, beautiful cabin with so many thoughtful extras. Valda made us homade ice cream and cookies that were absolutely devine and Chuck was so kind and full of interesting lore! We were all sad to leave, but can't wait to come back! No one would regret booking!

We absolutely loved the beautiful property & adorable cabins. The host were so delightful, they had homemade cookies & strawberry ice cream waiting for us upon our arrival. Everything you need is there. We are hoping to return for another stay at some point.

We had a great trip and our hosts definitely made the stay even better. We had everything we needed and the property was beautiful! If you want the cabin in the woods experience, this is it! You can leave your windows open and hear the running creek water. So peaceful! Plenty of places for our pups to enjoy around the property, including a great walking trail.
Outdoor area, great for walking the dogs and seeing butterflies.

Lovely Cabin

Both cabins have a lot of cute details, it's noticeable the love the hosts put into, and also the communication with them is so easy. Beautiful property and wonderful people!!!

Peaceful getaway in nature

We spent two nights in Flag Pond to celebrate a birthday with friends. We had an amazing stay! The property is gorgeous and private, and we had everything we needed. Valda and Chick are delightful and we will definitely be back. Thank you!

Easy and amazing

Absolutely lovely place to stay with amazing hosts. Nestled in the mountains almost in the middle of johnsonville and Ashville this is a perfect, quiet and peaceful location. We will definitely be going back in the warmer weather months

A great last minute trip

A great cabin and bunk house in a beautiful location! Valda was great, she took the time to meet us and tell us about the area! The best part is they are dog friendly! Definitely will be booking with them again!

Lovely cabin near creek

We had a great time staying here. It’s rustic and perfect for a relaxing vacation. Plenty of space on the comfortable patio where you can enjoy the sounds of the creek. Out hosts were very welcoming and stopped by every day to check that we had what we needed. The grounds are beautiful and so is the overall area.

What a great place to just get away from everything. So relaxing and quiet.

We absolutely loved this place. Homemade cookies waiting in your cabin, and we had homemade ice cream. I can’t believe how much thought the owners put into this place. We will definitely coming back.

A wonderful getaway!

We enjoyed our stay here and getting to meet and talk to the property owners! Valda & Chuck are wonderful hosts and provide great attention to detail! We enjoyed some hikes in the nearby area and evenings on the porch by fire listening to the creek! We will definitely be back!

Relaxing getaway

Loved this place! It's a great choice for staying and relaxing, but also centrally located if you have things to do in Asheville or Johnson City! Chuck and Valda are knowledgeable as to the area and can answer any questions you may have. We look forward to returning in the near future!
