3 nights in November, great short stay , good value for money. Very rural and surrounded by sheep and cows . Perfect for our spaniel . Loads of pubs within short drive. Great food in them all. Would stay again.

This Shepherds hut has everything you could need for a short stay.
This Shepherds hut has everything you could need for a short stay. It's very comfortable with plenty of room for two adults and a small dog. We really enjoyed our stay, the views are beautiful, and the location is great for visiting Ashbourne, along with taking walks in Dovedale and Wolfscote Dale. Also, if you get chance, visit Thornbridge Brewery in Bakewell - really good pizza and beer! We'll definitely stay again in the furture next time we visit the Peak District.

A really cute and comfortable Shepherds hut in a lovely quiet and peaceful location.
A really cute and comfortable Shepherds hut in a lovely quiet and peaceful location. Loved sitting outside with a cuppa and watching the sheep, pigs and cows. Lots of scenic places locally to drive to and enjoy.Owner responded quickly to text queries but I do feel an information pack within the hut would be useful for such as oven and hob instructions, WiFi passwords etcBut overall would definitely recommend.
The hosts couldn't have been more friendly. Its clear that the Huts are their pride and joy, they are right to be proud. They are clean, well appointed, beautiful, classy and in a setting to match.
The kids loved feeding the goats and sheep, as well as speaking with the host, who always had time for them.
We couldn't have asked for more.
Perfect
We where welcomed in with a few Essentials like fresh bread, cookies, fresh farmed milk and butter. The hut was very tidy and clean kids loved the farm animals right outside the door. Charlotte (host) let the kids feed the animals, was very quite and we enjoyed our getaway from the hustle and bustle off London city. Best part was the fire pit at night where we all sat down and enjoyed our marshmallows and hot chocolate, was a shame that they ran out off wood log. Will most definitely be visiting again in the future.
