"The hallways smelled bad and the railings were dirty, to a point you had to wash your hands. Questions to parking were unanswered, I ended up paying €24 for parking. I don’t recommend it and won’t book it again, to expensive for self serve accommodations. Poor communication and no number to call. "

The bungalow had everything we needed. it was very quiet, though close to amenities. It had plenty of shade so was cool enough even when 27degrees outside. Room to park and everything available. "Für unseren Wanderurlaub an den Externsteinen haben wir uns für die Ferienwohnung "Am Bärenkamp" entschieden. Unser Hund, Joey war auch willkommen! Die Umgebung ist wunderschön und ideal um für ein paar Tage abzuschalten. Die Wohnung idt gemütlich mit eigenem Eingang und Terasse. Uns hat alles sehr gut gefallen, vielen Dank!"

"Well kept, comfortable room in the center of town with walking access to the best Detmold has to offer. Be warned. It’s an old city, so parking may be a couple blocks away. And there is no elevator. Otherwise, perfect."

"Brilliant hotel. It's the second time I have stayed there. Always a pleasure! The breakfast was amazing! Great mini bar. I did not have time to try the pool in the end, as I went to Vita Sol. Next time! The first receptionist was lovely, very welcoming. The second one was not so good, but all in all 10 out of 10. The hotel could do with a slight revamp as it's showing its age, worn carpets etc. But still a great hotel Great view from the balcony. Near to the Kurpark & Vita Sol. Pretty amazing really. The staff all work hard Can't wait to go again!"

"The receptionist, Yvonne, was the best I have ever encountered. She was bending over backwards to help, and as I witnessed, not just to me and my disabled wife, but to every guest who came in. This superb help made our stay at the hotel very enjoyable. In addition, the breakfast was also very good with a wonderful variety of options."

"Walk to train station and a cafe in station for quick breakfast. Not a congested area. Staff were lovely. Appreciated that signs were in English as well. Location is not a congested area. Parking was convenient Room was attractive and sufficient in size. Sitting loung in reception area. Supermarket was walking distance. "
