Arosfortet Adventure Park

This was one of the dirtiest hostels I’ve ever stayed at. Although the staff did clean the bathrooms daily, by the evening, they were not in good shape. My husband stated that the men’s bathroom was one of the grossest he’d ever experienced. However, it was nice to be close to public transit and the grocery store.

I had a pleasant stay overall. The dorm beds had privacy curtains, which made a big difference. The room and bed linens were clean, and I appreciated that each bunk had its own power outlet, a small shelf for personal belongings, and a bedside lamp. I arrived after the reception had closed, but the self check-in process was excellent. Everything was automated using Web Keys on a webpage. By simply clicking the buttons, I could unlock the main entrance, the hallway door, and my room door. It was a smooth and convenient experience. The shower had good water pressure, which I appreciated. The only downside was that there was a dirty chunk of soap left on the shower faucet, and the floor squeegee (used to remove water from the bathroom floor) was also dirty. Since Swedish bathrooms typically don't have a separate shower area, the entire floor gets wet, so guests are expected to use the squeegee after showering. The only real issue I had was the main entrance door. It was extremely heavy and difficult to open. I actually had to ask another guest how to open it because I thought I was doing something wrong. One final tip: this isn't the hostel's fault, but if you're staying in a shared dorm, be prepared for the possibility of a roommate who snores loudly—I certainly had one! I highly recommend bringing good earplugs or noise-cancelling earbuds for a better night's sleep. Overall, despite a couple of minor issues, I had a comfortable stay and would consider staying here again.

I've stayed here many times, and I will continue to do so. I love this little place, and it's my first choice everytime I visit Stockholm. Very friendly and helpful staff. Ample shared loos and showers, with a fully equipped kitchen to use. The 24hr reception is great for those late arrivals And the view across the river from the outdoor seating platform, and some room windows is amazing.
