Great and cozy place

Can recommend! Really value for money. Great and cozy place with lots of space to hang around. Staff was really friendly and helpful! Breakfast is very basic though

I paid extra for a double room with private shower and that is exactly what I got, a nice big room with double bed, clean and good shower. There was breakfast included which was standard but good for cheap stay and particularly back-packers.

Great location. Needs work.

Overall it was not great experience but not a terrible one either. The room was spacious, the overall hostel had a classic build and vibe (although a bit run down). It is in a great location for sight seeing. However, cleanliness and general upkeep was not up to par and lacking. We did not get our daily housekeeping and there were a decent amount of ants in the room. Cant say I’d recommend it to anyone but wouldn’t tell someone to completely steer clear either.

Good service, good staff, good location. Our room was at street level, window opened onto very busy street (needed window open for ventilation). Everything else was good.

Perfect location.

We arrived at 5.30 am and camped in lounge until breakfast at 7 (free breakfast swapped with our checkout day which was to be around 5:15am - we were with Peru Hop). Room was ready at around 9 which we thought was pretty OK. Hostel is very old in the historical district of Arequipa which was perfect - only about 10 minutes walk to the Plaza de Armas, where we saw many performances and demonstrations in the square - plenty of nice restaurants overlooking the square. Location was perfect, and although we were probably the oldest couple ever to stay, we enjoyed it.

Great staff, great location

Hostel located within 5 minutes walking distance from the main Plaza. But what I was impressed the most was friendliness of the staff. Very helpful. Thank you.

Good backpacking hostel

Staying at Flying Dog was nice. The room was really big, the bathroom big enough. The breakfast they offer was also good. The staff was very nice and helpful. We also liked the location, because it is in the historical center.
