Perfect for skiing and great after ski. After ski closes by 6pm. Sauna and Hot tub is a great way to relax after a day in the slopes. Funicular goes from hotel to town every 20min.

Excellent access to the slopes, board/ski storage and the best sauna I've ever experienced. The room was of good quality but small for 3 people, cramped so be wary if you are booking this option with a bed sofa like in our case. The TV was really old and awkwardly positioned beside the bed, banged off it a few times getting in and out of bed. As in other scandinavian hotels we've visited the bed linen was 'noisy' and very soft pillows. Breakfast was excellent but there was zero interaction with the staff, no welcome, no conversation, it all felt very robotic especially compared to the bar staff who were warm and friendly.

Lovely stay

Location is fantastic - very easy access to town using the free train or a 15-20 minute walk. All staff were lovely and helpful. Great breakfast. Only downside is that the rooms are dated but given what we paid for the room we would definitely stay again. Bathtub and sauna a big plus!

The nicest place in Åre

Fjällgården is an amazing hotel in Åre with the best location possible in the middle of the slope - full ski-in/ski-out, but also accessible by car, taxi or the legendary Åre funicular. Many of the rooms have great views of the mountain and the valley and if you then ad one of the best after-skis, nice classic alpine cuisine and a very cozy atmosphere overall this is the perfect mountain lodging in Åre!

Rummet var väldigt mysigt, rent och väldig fin utsikt. Personalen var bara på plats mella 08-11 då der var lågsäsong men dom var väldigt trevliga det lilla man prata med dom. Dick sp gick brandlarmet som sen stängde av och vi fick ingen i om varför den kom igång. Men annars väldigt mysigt och bra upplevelse!

Från vårt rum hade vi en magisk utsikt. Vi såg delar av Åreskutan och hade utsikt mot byn. Vi fick se några underbara solnedgångar. Vi bokade en stund i badtunnan och därefter bastu. Fräscht och inte överdrivet varmt. God frukost och personalen var snabbt framme och fyllde på så det finns alltid fräsch mat. Gott bröd, ljuvliga pannkakor och min man sade att det var fantastiskt gott bacon. Trots att det var fullt på hotellet så märktes det inte. Det var lugnt och skönt. Sängarna var sköna och badrummet var fräscht med produkter från Björk. Den enda nackdelen är kostnaden för taxi upp och nedför backen när bergbanan var stängd. Vi är supernöjda och kommer gärna tillbaka

Fjällkänsla, god mat och pool – allt för familjen

Vi bodde som familj i ett loftvåningsrum på Fjällgården i Åre och trivdes verkligen från första stund. Rummet var rymligt, praktiskt och hade gott om plats för oss alla, samtidigt som det kändes mysigt med den öppna planlösningen. Läget är fantastiskt – nära liftar och vandringsleder, med en underbar utsikt över Åresjön. Personalen förtjänar verkligen ett extra plus. I receptionen möttes vi av ett varmt leende och hjälpsamma tips om aktiviteter, och i baren skapades en avslappnad och välkomnande stämning Frukosten var generös och passade både vuxna och barn, med många alternativ och några fina lokala inslag. Sängarna var bekväma och rummen tysta, vilket gjorde det lätt att sova gott. Efter dagar fyllda med aktiviteter blev poolen och bastun vår favorit – barnen badade länge medan vi vuxna kunde koppla av och njuta av fjällutsikten. Städningen höll toppklass, både vid ankomst och under hela vistelsen. Sammanfattningsvis är Fjällgården ett perfekt val för familjer som vill kombinera bekvämt boende, god mat, trevlig personal och härliga aktiviteter i Åre. Vi åker gärna tillbaka.

Hotellet ligger en bit upp i backen vilket ger en spektakulär utsikt. Hjälpsam trevlig personal. De allmänna ytorna är väldigt inbjudande och mysiga. Rummet och sängarna var lite slitet. Varmt på sommaren.
