"We were pleasantly surprised with everything about the Social Hub. A unique place with lots of activity in the lobby area, resulting in a sense of enjoyable bonhomie. The room was small but well organized, and we were very comfortable. We had a car, and they discounted the garage to 8 pounds per day in downtown Glasgow. We did not eat there, but there were plenty of great restaurants in the immediate vicinity"

"Property is ideally located on Bute. Beautiful views from the front porch. People tend to sit out there and smoke so not too relaxing if you want to breathe fresh air. The bar tender was very friendly and helpful with recommendations. The food was typical of Scotland. The hotel is very old is it is what was expected of a hotel of that age."

"We had a comfortable stay. Bed was okay, not as comfy as we’re used to. Room doesn’t have much room when you have a 2nd bed out for use for a family. 20min grace period to drop your car off. Hot breakfast doesn’t start until 6.30am. Toast and cereal only from 4am. Cereal options hadn’t been topped up so that was disappointing. Nevertheless, staff were really helpful and friendly. Stay overall was good. Would stay again."

"We booked an overnight to attend a wedding. The room was a clean and a great size with plenty of room to get ready and lots natural light. Albeit, the room was a little dated but it was not something that made a real difference to our stay. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. The girl at the front desk (whose name I unfortunately can’t remember) was incredibly helpful, she pre booked our taxi to the wedding venue and nothing was a bother. The restaurant was great, staff were efficient and friendly and the meal was great and reasonably priced. Same with the bar. Overall it was a great place, met all of our needs and we would absolutely stay again."
