If you can tear yourself away from the villa, Kalyves Beach is 15 minutes' drive away, plus you'll have a mini market, supermarket and restaurants less than 10 minutes away. The Venetian Harbour in Chania is well worth the 45 minutes' drive for a day out, and the quay is filled with cafes, restaurants, bars and bakeries to sample.
