Spacious comfortable room with basic kitchenette, balcony with great views. Surrounding gardens beautiful. Quiet location. Lovely river to swim in at the bottom of the property. Small pool. Great hosts. We would definitely return.
Dave Parker Lodge is an amazing place to stay. The scenery and views to the coast are spectacular. The staff are very friendly and helpful and meals good. Although we had trouble finding the place, it is really worth the visit.
It was a wonderful place to spend our first 3 days in Samoa so restful and cool up in the hills. The views were marvellous. Had plenty of space in our room. We would definitely go again if in Samoa.
What a wonderful place to stay in the hills away from the city. The location is amazing with an incredible view over to the bay. We were made to feel welcome and valued as guests and could not speak more highly of Lolita and her team who were all very accommodating and helpful to us being first time visitors to Samoa. We would highly recommend a stay here and will certainly be doing so again when we return. Thank you Lolita!

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
We really enjoyed our stay. Lolita was an exceptional host who made us feel very welcome. Rooms are basic but clean. Views are second to none. Absolute no-brainer for the travelling birder with many of my targets seen on the property. Suitable for anyone seeking a quiet relaxing stay in Samoa. Highly recommend the Sunday traditional Samoan lunch.
Very helpful staff. Great view and nice to be out of the heat and noise of the city. I enjoyed walking around on the property and swimming in the pool. The Sunday meal cooked in the umu was excellent.
Lovely location in the hills above Apia with beautiful views of the area and sea. Wonderful staff. Special Umu preparation and meal on Sunday. Cooler than the lowlands but also has a wonderfully refreshing pool.
Definitely Million Dollar Views just priceless large rooms could not recommend enough perhaps what may put people off is it bush location but Definitely worth it
The spot was true to its Million Dollar view. So beautiful. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Thank you so much for a lovely experience. Highly recommend this to everyone.
The owners are lovely, the view of the jungle, the city and the ocean are fantastic. The room was well vented as we didn't need air con. The rooms are dated and need a deeper clean, but excellent value for what you pay for. If you don't mind being twenty-plus minutes from the city and remote, this is a gem
I really love staying at Dave Parker's EcoLodge Hotel. This was my second time, and I really enjoyed my time there. They've made some improvements in the six months between visits and now include a handy information sheet on basic Samoan phrases for guests new to Samoa. They also clearly indicate that meals are by request, which was initially confusing on my first stay. I love coming back to Dave's because it is quiet and set in stunning nature. Staff are friendly and helpful, and take time to chat with you, especially if you are looking a little lost and uncertain. I highly recommend staying here. Fa'afetai lava!

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
We stayed 3 nights @ Dave Parkers Eco Lodge. The lodge is located on a mountain with wonderful views of the City of Apia & Ocean, surrounded by lush green forest, flowers and trees. The Lodge is secluded and quite. Great place if you want to chill out and relax but not convenient if you are interested in doing tours or coming into Apia everyday. But they do provide shuttle 5/6 days a week, leaving @ 8:30am and returning @ 3:00PM.
The lodge is outdated. It has a small 22" TV on the wall, 1 Queen bed, which as OK. Balcony is not very useful. It is only about 3 feet wide, with 6" wooden railings, barely enough to squeeze a chair. But be careful of the Warps nets in the Wooden railing. 5 mins of arriving there, Bobby was stung by a Warp that had a large nest in the Wooden railings. We never went back out on the Balcony again. There are no bus services so either a car rental or arrange a Transfer in advance is best. Breakfast has two options... eggs & toast or pancakes. I asked for omelettes but the cook was not able to accommodate that. We had paid for breakfast in advance but it was added to our bill at checkout again. But Lolita, onsite Manager was able to credit us when I brought this to her attention. There is a small pool, we did not use it. Since Water is pumped up, buying drinking water is best. Lolita was wonderful. She is full of local information and she drives guests to town and pick them up. Lolita made our stay so much more enjoyable. We did check out a day early.
Wonder of Nature! Great place to unwind and take in the stunning and fantastic views, the birds, forest and Malama's beautiful gardens. The staff were amazing, very friendly, welcoming and always willing to help. Service and food were good too. one of the highlights was the Sunday umu demonstration by Losi, Laa, Lili and Tusi, highly recommended. Huge thank you Lita, Malama, Dave and the team, we had a great stay and will definitely be back.
Our stay at Dave Parker Eco resort was just lovely. We didn't really want to leave. Its quiet position, proximity to Apia and daily runs into town are what attracted us, but what we got was so much more. We were welcomed with smiles and information. Any question answered with local knowledge and advice. Being included in the umu on Sunday was a real highlight and felt we were part of the family. Thank you to all, we loved it
Just the locations but everything else was terrible no one came to clean our room staff was so rude our family came to visit one of the staff came and say to leave right away he was rude blankets and pillows was so dirty old and yucky looking sink was so dirty no one came to check if we need to clean our room so disappointed we have to leave the place and our nights at the place wasn’t even finish but we have to just leave so disappointed ☹️ especially there staff never in millionaire years I’ll go back in this place
This was a cool place to stay. We just needed a place to stay while returning from a trip to New Zealand. I thought it would be cool to try.
First off, this place takes a while to get to. It's way off the beaten path, but once you get up to it, it's a really cool setting. It's up on the side of the mountain with a great view of Apia. I understand there's a waterfall on the property down by the cabins.
Our room had a great view. If you stay in the cabins, I don't think you'll get the same view. The room itself was large, but very basic. There wasn't any AC, but that isn't bad when you have a breeze up on the mountain.
They had a great breakfast in the morning that was included in the room price that we had. When I first checked in, the clerk said that it wasn't included, but I showed her the e-mail, and it was taken care of.
In the morning, we caught a ride down to Apia with Dave. It appears that guests can ride from the lodge to Dave's store in town in the morning and return in the evening.
It was a cool place to stay.
Really nice. We stayed in the Sunset room which was huge and even had a piano. Very private.
Breakfast was nice but if ur a coffee person u wont enjoy it here. Better off heading down to Milanos for a decent cuppa. They could possibly loose the common room TV as well. A little hot/cold sign on the shower as well so 5 minutes of water isnt wasted waiting for the hot. I actually got under it cold as i hate waste but my guess is most people wouldnt. A simple sign might fix this.
They also need to lose the 'This is private property No Trespassers' sign just inside the turnoff. Very weird and VERY misleading.
But look for the coin this place is excellent, quiet, safe and friendly.
You MUST have a car here i reckon.
