Great 2 in one hotel !

I loved this hotel , has a nice restaurant down stairs with huge portions , we didn’t get an email to check in when it was time so that was maybe the only issue

Very nice place and the nicest staff we dealt with on our Europe trip. It is just out of the way hidden in a neighborhood with limited options of things to do or eat. If you want a quiet place to stay to relax this would be perfect.

The hotel had no reception, which is a glorified air bnb therefore not a hotel. The check-in system is lousy. You are reliant on your phone to open doors, what if your battery dies? Next, most of the staff were very unpleasant, rude at best. One of them literally hustled my partner to pay the bill mid-stay meanwhile the booking was in my name. I was in the room trying to pay via their lousy link which barely worked. Next the bed was very uncomfortable, mattress was too soft. We ended up with back pains. This area is too far from Amsterdam there’s no need. I do not recommend.and I’m actually very offended at how they hustled my partner to pay the bill mid-stay while the booking was in my name.

On first glance (before booking) and just skimming over the room it was nice, very modern; a beautiful place. After the first nights stay we realised there were some issues. Firstly, I didn’t get the email on how to enter the property and there is no allocated receptionist for the hotel. So if there was no one in the restaurant to help, I wouldn’t have been able to enter. Secondly, the lighting in the room was very poor. Once the sun is setting you cannot do anything that requires light (eg makeup) we had our phone torches on. Thirdly, from the first day my friend had contacted the property about the next issue via WhatsApp (to my knowledge that’s the only way to contact them) and they never replied. I also messaged them about something (I booked the hotel) and they never replied to me. You would have to physically go down to the restaurant to ask someone there if you want anything. Fourth, from night 1 of our stay there was a leak from one of the extractor fans in the bathroom which created a puddle by the toilet and would travel to the sink and the bathroom door if you let it. We were mopping it up with towels everyday. Someone came in who I believe was maintenance, we told him about it & he said he’ll take a picture and be back, we never saw him again. The room was never turned over. We had to ask for towels. This isn’t something I’ve ever experience at a hotel. A bnb maybe, but not a hotel. The bed was lovely.

Tolles Zimmer, teilweise leider sehr laut :(

Unser Zimmer war sehr groß, sauber und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Leider gab es in der ersten Nacht unseres Aufenthaltes auf der Straße vor dem Hotel ein Autorennen und lautes Gegröle. Am nächsten Morgen früh Bauarbeiten im Haus. In der zweiten Nacht lief die Abluftanlage (ein Abluftventil an der Decke fast direkt über dem Bett) so laut, dass wir relativ spät noch im Hotel angerufen haben, um diese ausstellen zu lassen. Das konnte aber niemand regeln, so dass die Abluftanlage ist die ganze Nacht laut (ich nehme an auf hoher Stufe) gelaufen ist und wir nur wenig schlafen konnten. Etwas unglücklich finde ich den Umgang mit der Beschwerde und hätte zumindest aus Kulanz eine Teilerstattung des gezahlten Betrages erwartet. :(
