Ett vackert och speciellt hotell i en gammal industribyggnad. Hotellet ligger vid en liten sjö men också vid en väg. Det är designtema på hela hotellet med konst och roliga tavlor. Utanför finns bord och stolar samt brygga vid vattnet. När vi kom lite sent en söndag var det obemannat men vi fick ringa och blev guidade in. Vårt rum var rymligt med dubbelsäng tv, litet sideboard och toa med dusch. Vi saknade möjligheten att koka te/kaffe på rummet, särskilt då det inte finns restauranger, butiker eller service i närheten. Vi hade också önskat en starkare lampa i badrummet. Vårt rum vette mot vägen, trafiken var störande. Frukosten blev en positiv överraskning. Vällagat med lite smått och gott. Bra kaffe och trevlig personal.

Vi har tidigare varit på fina Hotell Montagne i Åmmeberg. Ett lite annorlunda hotell med egen ton vad gäller inredning och koncept. Anläggningen är unik och drivs nu med energiska entreprenörer. Åker gärna tillbaka!

Det var nu fjärde sommaren som vi stannade till I ÅMMEBERG och bodde på hotellet. En påtaglig försämring av framför allt underhållet. I vårt rum var ljusknappen på toaletten sönder, soffan i rummet var vi tvungna att fylla med prydnadskuddar under sittdynorna för att kunna använda soffan!!! Gemensamhetsytorna kändes som bortglömda! Vid frukosten var verandan riktigt äckligt smutsig på golvet med massor av löst skräp och damm. Kvaliteten på frukosten som vid tidigare vistelser var en av höjdpunkterna hade genserat till enklast tänkbara standardfrukost utan minsta finess. Hotellet har ju utomordentliga förutsättningar att erbjuda något extra med tanke på inredning och koncept så varför förstöra dessa förutsättningar genom att inte jobba med detaljerna. Alltså inga kostsamma saker men de kräver lite fantasi och kärlek. Beklagar verkligen att situationen utvecklats som den gjort. Tveksamt om vi kommer tillbaka. //Bertil Fredriksson

Det stod att rummet vette mot sjön, men sjön låg på andra sidan. TV:n hackade i bild och ljud. De glömde att städa vårt rum. (Vi sov 2 nätter) Hotellchefen var nonchalant och osympatisk och otroligt dåligt klädd. Natten mot lördagen gick det inte att sova pga av extremt högt ljud från festande i ett grannhus med musik hela natten fram till kl.9 på morgonen. Vi blev upplysta av hotellchefen att det är så varje helg och går inte att göra något åt. Övrig personal var trevlig och rum och sängar var bra.
