"We stayed in the 2 bedroom Praia Maia for 3 nights. We had an amazing time in the villa which had everything we needed. Having breakfast on the large terrace overlooking the sea, hanging in the hammock reading a book, cooling down in our own infinity pool or taking a stroll down to the beach and going in for a snorkel. "Blu guesthouse is a delightful bungalow far from the maddening crowd. It is charming, clean property at the edge of Amed and amongst very friendly villagers. "Maybe not many people know this place, but Royal Indah Cabin is a hidden gem worth staying at. It’s easy to find on Google Maps, has large parking, friendly staff, and includes breakfast. The bedroom and bathroom are clean, the water heater works well, and the lake and mountain views are amazing. It’s also close to Dermaga Kedisan and a minimarket, which makes it really convenient. "I loved my stay here. It was a beautiful space and the staff were so kind. I was able to do a diving trip with them and it was an amazing experience. My one thing I didn’t love was that the bathroom, which is separate from the main room, did have a lot of small ants on the counter. The bathroom was an outside section though so I don’t blame the resort at all, just adding it in as a little warning for people, keep your toiletries in the bedroom with you. "This property is on the most beautiful beach in the area. White sand beach leads to turquoise ocean with snorkelling right off the beach. The staff is warm and welcoming and our deck was 3 feet from the pool which overlooks the ocean a few steps below. It is located in a small quite village with many small restaurant but if you want more action many of the restaurants in Canadista will give you a ride there and back or you can have a driver take you for $4-5."

"This is not at all a takeaway from the hotel, but there are a lot of stairs and it is pretty much impossible to avoid them. The staff will help you with your bags so you don’t need to do any heavy lifting. If that’s something that doesn’t work for you, consider other hotels. Perfect hotel that’s right on Amed Beach. Temper your expectations for luxury because it is a quiet little fishing town and pretty much the only thing to do there is snorkel and scuba dive that doesn’t take away from the facilities at all, but don’t expect a Marriott. Absolutely beautiful property with multiple pools and stunning views. Staff will bend over backwards to make sure your stay is comfortable. The spa on site is amazing, we got a couple’s massage and honestly, it was the best massage I’ve ever had for a fraction of the price that you will get at home. Restaurant has very good food, and there are countless little cafés and restaurants you can walk to along the street. Have cash on hand if you venture out of the hotel for food. ATMs are known to be unreliable in Amed so make sure you stock up before you arrive. I didn’t have any problems with them, but I’ve read that other people have. If you do use an ATM in the area make sure you use one that is inside one of the convenience stores and not a freestanding one, as those will possibly skim your card. "

"I spent three nights here and never left the property! It was so peaceful and beautiful and was the perfect little escape I was looking for. The staff are wonderful, and I enjoyed waking to the sound of the waves, floating in the pool, and walking straight into the ocean for some incredible snorkeling. The menu is very diverse and the food, made fresh to order every time, is absolutely delicious. I will definitely be back."
