Beautiful room exceptionally clean , Tracy very welcoming and given good information as too breakfast which again was beautifully cooked very attentive , checking in and checkout was a breeze plus having lock up parking off the street was a bonus , great location only think when busy yiu need to book restaurants in advance definitely recommend this guesthouse

We had a brilliant stay at Melrose B&B. Our room was immaculate and had everything we needed. Staff were very helpful and parking was provided. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and the food was excellent. We would highly recommend and we will definitely be returning

A lovely stay in Ambleside - highly recommend!

The owners Tracey & Kevin were so lovely and welcoming to me and my partner! The bnb was clean, cosy and really nice to stay in. We loved our stay and will be back!

The Melrose was modern, very clean and the breakfast options were superb. Local for all restaurants / town amenities. We would recommend this guest house to anyone and will definately stay again next time in Ambleside Brett Glossop

The lodging experience the way it should be

Whereas I have had serious issues with my previous lodging during this trip (Kendal, Windermere), this place is hands down the most wonderful site. Clean. Comfortable. Great breakfast. Accommodating storage needs. Firm and hot shower with new fixtures. Quiet. Great bed and clean sheets. Clean carpet throughout the guest home. Hosts are knowledgable and friendly.

Excellent BB with top class rooms and service. All the furniture is excellent quality, the rooms are nicely decorated and the breakfast is perfect. Secure parking is provided and the property is located central to the town. I would definitely recommend the BB as a perfect place to stay.

Lovely B&B, beautifully appointed and perfectly located. The owners are really friendly, and the breakfast excellent. The bonus of off-site parking was ideal as parking in Ambleside is understandably difficult. Highly recommended.

Absolutely perfect! Kevin and Tracey have created such a lovely B&B. The decor, the extra touches like plenty of coffee and tea choices in the room, lovely furnishings, breakfast so lovingly made and Kevin and Tracey are so lovely. They’ve gone the extra mile and have given us the perfect stay. Close to shops and restaurants, transport and lake ferries. We could not have asked for a nicer experience.
