NEW PROPERTY from April 2023 onwards - recently fully refurbished.
This lovely little cottage by the bridge in Elterwater has been completely renovated during 2022, with a modern open plan layout on the ground floor, including a well fitted kitchen area, living and dining, with a wood-burning stove. The 1st floor has two bedrooms (a double and a twin), and there is a lovely modern shower room.
The house is the corner property of this lovely little terrace by the river and next to the bridge, with the garden at the front and around the side of the cottage. There is also an outbuilding which makes excellent storage for bikes and gear.
Elterwater is a very pretty village at the gateway into Langdale, and also where our office is located. Home to our favourite local pub the Brittania Inn, and also the wonderful cocktail bar Lanty Slee which is a quick walk out of Elterwater towards Red Bank, located in the old Wayside Pulpit chapel. Over the bridge towards Colwith is The Eltermere Inn Country Hotel, which has a wonderful bar and restaurant - something to treat yourselves to during your stay.
Langdale and Little Langdale is where all the best lumpy stuff is, so park your car up and walk from the village to enjoy some of the best walking in the Lake District.

The property was clean, nicely furnished and with a well equipped kitchen so we could cook and eat in. The outbuilding was big enough to store 4 bikes, although it doesn’t lock, so bring a heavy duty bike lock with you if cycling. Check-in was really straightforward as the office is a 30 second walk from the house. Elterwater itself was a really great place to base ourselves, with local pubs really close by and I can highly recommend a walk up to Lanty Slee’s for cocktails and food as well. There’s great walking and cycling straight out of the door too, so barely any need to get in the car once you are here. The Langdale Coop at Chapel Stile is well stocked for a small shop too. Thoroughly recommend!
