"We chose to stay at the Big Texan because of the cool vibe. Our room was a good value but needed some spiffing up. There is a lot of road noise from Route 40. Unfortunately the motel can't do anything about that, so we were grateful that we had brought ear plugs. Maybe you could ask for a room in the back to cut down on the road noise. On the plus side, the staff was friendly and it was nice to walk over to the restaurant for dinner."

"Had to ring for service at the desk. Got to the room and the door look like someone had tried to ram the door open(huge dent in it). The room was awful, floors dirty, bathroom badly caulked. The ice machine was out of order. Not to mention, there were people “living” there, beat up vehicles, grills outside. We complained and got our money back and found another place. No more Quality Inn. If I could give this negative stars I would definitely."

"We loved the ambience of the entire property. Breakfast was delicious and the staff person running the kitchen was incredible. Our room needed a few minor repairs or updates, but it appeared that this was actively in progress around the property."

"The bed was ultra comfortable and after driving for 9 hours we needed that!! This Hotel is very pet friendly - no extra charge for our two little Yorkies. We all were exceptionally comfortable, made to feel welcome from the beginning, and will definitely stay here again when we pass through Amarillo!!"

"One the worst Hotel I’ve ever stayed in, the bed covers had not been cleaned stains on sheets, and pubic hair on sheets. Was moved to another room it was even worse, sockets old out damaged would hold phone chargers kept falling out of the socket. Curtains torn , white paint on curtains, bathroom shower water continuously leaking, only offered 2 small commentary soaps that broke in half once water hit it. No trash bag in trash can the room was very dimly because of only two small lamps that didn’t offer very much light, one of the bulbs was blown out , had to have replaced , the staff had no clue how to turn on lamp. And lastly it smelled really bad in the hallway , no elevator , walls are super thin you could hear the noise and neighbors very clearly.I would not recommend this place to no one , nor I ever stay there again.🙁😡👎"

"This hotel is wonderfully appointed- Fabulous reception area - They have an evening reception (not sure it is every night but was on our stay) - two free drinks each and nibbles. The rooms are huge and have all mod con amenities. Located near the baseball park for the Amarillo Minor league team. Staff weee lovely would absolutely recommend"

"The parking lot was small, which makes it hard for large vehicles."
