Beautiful! But tricky logisitics

This apartment was the most beautiful space my wife and I have ever lived in. Something to keep in mind though is to make sure to have a good idea of the public transportation (the owner is helpful for bus schedules), but Tovere can feel a little distant and isolated from Amalfi. The area is so pretty, calm and quiet. Would recommend staying here! Just know there’s a learning curve getting to and from Amalfi.

Serious issues with listing. Location miles away from where it was supposed to be. 3 minute walk to beach actually 53 minutes. Power went out at night and did not come back. Appliances like TV, toaster, microwave, electric kettle were all missing. As promised bed was hard and it had Great views!

Bella Costa d’Amalfi

Zu dieser Zeit ist es mit den Temperaturen sehr erträglich. Es ist jede Menge an Kultur zu besichtigen - und natürlich - die Lebensart der Süditaliener - Bella Italia! Am besten losziehen und mit dem Bus (oder dem Schiff) erkunden (die Busfahrer von Amalfi sind eh die Helden des Alltags).Durch die Fotos von Barbara ist die FeWo gut zu finden. Sie liegt oberhalb der Costa, ist dadurch sehr ruhig und wunderbar groß über 2 1/2 Etagen mit Dachterrasse.Die Ausstattung ist zweckmäßig und sehr o.k.Barbara ist die Anlaufstelle für alles! Sehr nett und hilfsbereit, immer ein Ohr für ein Schwätzchen.Die zwei Wochen waren natürlich zu schnell vorbei, vielleicht ein andermal wieder…Liebe Barbara, wir wünschen dir das allerbeste!

Lots of steps from street up to villa, then even more from the door! Garden wasn’t accessible, however balconies and roof top terrace were comfortable with beautiful views! The kitchen could have offered more useful options. There was also some mold on walls that caused congestion. Overall a nice villa

Views, Views, Views!!!

This place was large and the setup of the rooms were perfect. The rooftop patio was a great place to hang out any time of day. The neighborhood is rather quiet, although there was a bit of construction going on when we visited. Not too disturbing though. We found the location to be easy to find and the host gave us great directions with photos. As other reviewers had mentioned, we did find the beds to be a bit uncomfortable. Also, the place could use a few investment upgrades. We did not have use of the freezer, because it needed to be defrosted. There was also rust all around the door of the freezer and the door did not function properly. However, given the opportunity, we would definitely stay here again.

True Italy experience

Loved the location. Bed too hard in 1st bedroom. 2nd bedroom on 2nd floor beds were great. Views awesome. Owner very sweet. All in all a beautiful location

The property has excellent views. However, we faced the following issues: 1. The place is up on the hill and has limited transportation options. One bus route is close to the unit but the frequency is low. On top, there is no bus service between 2 pm and 7 pm. 2. The hot water system didn’t function well and so we ended up with cold water shower most days. 3. Taxis are expensive getting in and out from the location. Taxis do not adhere to meter fares. On the other hand, the host representative was extremely helpful and would respond to messages quickly.

The Hosts are very helpful and answered all our questions,The views are amazing but the top terrasse needs a some shade to be used as the sun is hot and we couldn’t enjoy the views from up there.but had breakfast as diner on the main terrasse. Beds were not great but ok.Location is ok 18 min drive to Amalfi beach or port. 30 min to Ravello which is amazing to visit 1 hour 15 min to Sorrento and 40 min to Positano. Over all there could be some upgrades to the apartment

Amazing views!

We were pleased to take in the views! Morning coffee was a particular joy. We were proficient at driving in the switchbacks of the Amalfi coast, so this worked for us! We spent an amazing day with boat ride around Capri; and an amazing day in Ravello/Amalfi. Unit is large and has privacy for the other couple ( unit on 2nd floor) up a spiral stair with rooftop sundeck. Beds creaky and crazy hard.

Traumhafte Aussicht

Sehr angenehme Wohnung, unkomplizierter Übergabeprozess, sehr nette Vermieter! Ort liegt etwas abgelegen und ist nur begrenzt mit Bus erreichbar. Dafür ist es angenehm ruhig. Traumhafter Blick bis nach Capri bzw. Küste von Salerno.

Very nice space with spectacular views

I loved my time there .. The bed was firm for sure, but did not take away from my appreciation of the apartment. I do think the stairs might be a problem for someone with mobility issues. Barbara was a great help in figuring out transportation to the town of Amalfi and back, Bit to far to walk to town. I'd stay again now that I know how to enjoy this space and settle in.

Great set-up with magnificent view

Property in line with description. Barbara was very helpful specially with the road closed going down to Amalfi due to bushes’ fire. The beds are very firm, not confortable for everybody and the bathroom on second floor is very small and would need to be updated but very nice property with a great view over the ocean.

Dreamlike apartment amazing stay

The location is so beautiful and overlooks the entire ocean it’s surreal. There are individual three balconies/lookouts each with an amazing view of the ocean. It’s perfectly situated between amalfi and positano which made it easy to get around(also pretty near ravello). Several nights we cooked dinner and breakfast in the house which was great. There’s a local market and restaurants nearby. Barbara is a great and accommodating host who was very helpful. We could not thank her enough for the amazing stay

Beautiful view. Clean…AC great…. Could sit on balcony for days. —advised washing machine…it is not in property and have to arrange owner to come at her convenience.. —bus schedule is very confusing but when we figured it out was great. Person nearby who took us to town. Owner offered to take us last day…would be helpful to have written schedule not just screenshots of schedule. Owner tried to explain but language differences made it hard — yes previous reviews spoke about hard beds…extremely hard…put comforters under sheet. Helped some Overall great experience. If bed was softer we would stay again now that we understand bus schedule.

My dad was so hard that it was almost impossible to sleep and made my back back hurt very badly

The property manager was very cooperative and easy to communicate with but when I told her that the bed was too hard ( I honestly think it was just a box springs, not a mattress) and was hurting my back, she said ‘ you are alone with this problem’.

Sehr freundliche Gastgeberin!

Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und begleitet. Die Wohnung ist mit den vielen Sonnenterrassen wunderschön. Besucher*innen sollten wissen, dass die Amalfiküste sehr anspruchsvoll ist mit eigenem Auto zu befahren und dass der Platz sehr beengt ist.

Great views over the Amalfi Coast

Barbara's place has unbeatable views over the Amalfi Coast. Situated high up winding roads, there are two balconies and a gorgeous terrace. Inside, the place is fully furbished in a taste that is not to everyone's liking... Old pictures, old furniture, hard mattresses... and some makeshift renovations in the upper bathroom and kitchen make it that this is not more than a 3* accommodation.
