「It is a great property in a lovely rural location, yet only a mile or so from Alston. Furnished to a high standard the cottage had all you could need for a comfortable stay (even though we picked a very wet 2-3 days). We enjoyed our all-to-brief stay, and look forward to returning, hopefully when the weather is better and we can enjoy the outside patio area with it's wonderful views.」

「Stayed for one night, on our way back down from Scotland. Had a lovely time here, and wished we could have stayed longer. Arrived around 6pm, very easy parking and checking in to our room. Then had a lovely meal downstairs in the Penny Blue restaurant attached to the hotel. Food was served very quickly, and the staff were attentive. The room itself was excellent, very spacious with a comfortable bed. It did get a little warm in the night for our taste, but they had a fan available which...

「We had a great holiday. We stay for 4 nights ( 4 adults and 2 children (10 and 6)). The lodge is very cosy and it is very spacious. My son was very happy watching the ducks swimming in the pond. Children watched rabbits running around outside the lodge. Our grandparents flew over from Lithuania and they were left awestruck. Highly recommended Many Thanks😊」

「Didn't actually manage to stay here and had to book alternative accommodation at short notice. Despite checking in online earlier that morning and advising of expected arrival time, I didn't receive the code for the lock box and all attempts at contacting the host failed, no response to phone calls or text messages, in fact the host declined my calls on numerous occasions. 「We were a party of 10, getting together to celebrate the 60th birthday party of 2 family members. The house was beautiful, plenty of room for everyone, although to be honest we spend most of our time in the cosy but large kitchen and adjacent games room. Many period features allowed you to really experience how they used to love. Kirby Stephen high street was a stones throw away, making it convenient for local shops and pubs. Would highly recommend for a large family get together」

「This hotel is great. They have certainly done the place out to high standard. The rooms are spotlessly clean with loads of extra nice touches all over the place. The food in the antler restaurant was delicious and very reasonably priced give. The standard of the hotel. It came quickly and the waiting staff were efficient friendly and conscientious. We had 2 children who enjoyed the pool and the park on site as well as giant jenga in the bar. Thanks to all the staff that made us welcome. 」
