"The apartment was extremely comfortable and had all the needed amenities in the bathroom and kitchen. The entire pace was spotless and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. They're also centrally located so shops as well as the N4 highway are easy to access. Despite the central location, it's still very quiet with lots of trees and birds around. Highly recommended!"

"We had a marvellous time at Caracal Lodge. It was a wonderful away from it all experience. Magtree Cottage was very comfortable and well equipped even though there is no electricity, power being supplied by gas appliances, paraffin lamps and LED lighting. It was magical to wake up with views of the resident giraffe family as well as zebra, impala, horses and a pet pig! Outside there was a braai, fire pit in a lovely shaded area and a small pond. Exploring the 300 hectare game park there...

Town Lodge Mbombela

8/10 Good

"This is good for a brief and mostly comfortable stay in Mbombela. The room is really small, but well laid out and the AC works well. The wifi was not great but okay, and the hotel does have a backup generator if needed. The staff were mostly friendly, but more care can be taken to explain about the property at check-in, or even provide a statement at checkout (still waiting for that to be emailed to me). The pool is nice although it was pretty much taken over by people who brought their own music speakers making it unpleasant for hotel guests. The door key cards kept erroring out, which meant going back to reception multiple times, and there is no elevator for anyone with disabilities or heavy bags. Price wise the hotel was reasonable, but onsite food and drink is pricey. "

"Only stayed one night and enjoyed it thoroughly. They accommodated a last-minute request for dinner, which was very tasty and delivered to my room. Breakfast was very good as well. The staff was very friendly and responsive, and they have a very sweet dog (Mango) whose visits made the stay even more "

"The guesthouse provided an excellent stay. The room was spacious and well-appointed, complete with high-quality amenities. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful night. The small kitchen and well-stocked minibar added a convenient touch to the stay. Although two of the LED lights were not functioning, the overall experience was very positive and offered great value for money. The nearby restaurant, Orange, offered an exceptional dining experience that seamlessly complemented our stay at the guesthouse. Renowned as one of the finest establishments in Mbombela, Orange impressed with its exquisite cuisine, attentive service, and inviting ambiance. Each dish was a delightful testament to culinary artistry, making our meal both memorable and satisfying. Without a doubt, Orange stands out as a culinary gem in the city, adding to the overall positive impression of our visit. "
