"Our stay at Le Clark Hotel was wonderful! The hotel was in an excellent location (close by restaurants and shopping) and was exceptionally clean throughout our visit. Ellen, the front desk manager, was incredibly kind, welcoming, and accommodating, and she truly helped make our experience in Paris even more enjoyable. "Lovely stay in a very convenient location. I arrived by plane and took a direct train to Gare du Nord, followed by a short 12 minute walk to the hotel. For my return, it was just a 12 minute walk back to Gare du Nord for the Eurostar, which made the whole journey seamless. The hotel is a beautifully designed boutique space, clean, modern, and with a fresh feel throughout. "The room was spacious and clean, decent sized shower, comfy bed. All you really need for a room. The staff at reception were helpful and charming, and the breakfast was very good. Didn’t explore too many facilities so can’t comment. Could do with a second lift, a few long waits."

"We so enjoyed our stay at Hotel Marais Home! Everything was so clean and the room was so comfortable, the bed particularly so! It's also very quiet at night. The breakfast was incredible and the young woman who worked at the breakfast each morning was so nice and accommodating---all the hotel staff was. The breakfast space in their basement is beautiful and so welcoming. Even though it is labelled as continental the breakfast had scrambled eggs and bacon and offered such a nice selection of yogurts, granolas, and pastries. Just the thing to fuel a busy start of the day touring! Very highly recommend this hotel which also is very close to a metro stop and convenient to so much in Paris!"

"Quite cute and whimsy place in a fantastic area for exploring Paris. Room was clean when we arrived, but no additional room service for 5 nights, including no fresh towel and no trash bag for kitchen or bathroom, definetly beyond comfort. We used nespresso maker and water kettle only, but could have warmed up small meals with the dishes available in the kitchen, including a true freezer. The shower is not really functional for anyone less mobile than „excellent „ since entry is over the toilet with less clearance than a size 6 foot. No grab bar to allow the free climb into and out of the shower to become more secure. The windows open in a courtyard, very nice for quietness, no traffic. It is one of the smoker designated areas and we woke up several times from cigarette smoke in our room. Last but most important, there is not functional connectivity in the room. A table of possibly available networks is on display, but most were not available in our room, or the provided PW didn’t work, or connection kept dropping out. With T-mobile connectivity abroad we also could not get sufficient data to upload a document or even make a TGV reservation on 3/5 nights. When I called, a very friendly but exasperated employee brought another table of wlans and passwords and we were able to connect more often for long enough to finish booking the rest of our journey."

"The Hoxton is a lovely property, very clean and professionally staffed. It is also quite the vibe in the lobby, with a lot of traffic from non-hotel guests eating and socializing and, unfortunately, getting in the way. Not my thing, but maybe it’s yours so not necessarily a negative. The first of two definitive things that were objectively negative were the bathroom walls being glass - not see through at all, but light conducive. Each time we needed the bathroom at night, we’d have to light up the whole space to use it, and the worst of it is that the light was by the front door, so even if the walls weren’t glass, you’d need to open and close the door twice and let the light wake up your partner. Not ideal. Other than that, lovely bathroom. Clean, stylish, great shower. The second was the air conditioning or lack thereof. We were in Paris when it was very hot (32-34C) and our room was consistently very, very warm. Regardless of how low we set the AC, the room temperature was uncomfortable. I doubt it dipped below 25-26. For this reason alone, we wouldn’t stay again. Very nice staff, well-maintained hotel, nicely located with regard to public transit and restaurants. If you’re an extrovert who likes it on the hot side, this is the property for you."

"This is a fairly good alternative for a single or couple who doesn’t look for luxury. It is a bare bones property. The pros: it’s in a location with two useful Metro lines close by, and is on a fairly inactive short street between two busy neighborhoods. There are ample bistros and restaurants with real Parisians rather than tourists. The cons: the ad implies that they speak English, but I had to rely on my high school French; the housekeeping is poor, only coming after you return from a day of sightseeing, then only making the bed but never changing the sheets; the breakfast is mid, and served in a tiny room that becomes claustrophobic with several guests eating at once. For a lower priced property it’s fine. For tourists who want a level of service and luxury, they might be disappointed."

"Just five minutes' walk from the Gare du Nord so it's great if you're arriving by Eurostar. The staff are very friendly and helpful. My room was quite small (well, this is Paris) but clean and comfortable. Nice to have a bath. Breakfast was basic but had all you'd probably want."

The older man at the front desk was an absolute master of his craft and remembered my name and room from check in without fail. They also helped me out when I needed to grab breakfast a bit early one day. Really great staff."
