Located on beautiful Lake Kawagama in Algonquin Highlands and only 10km outside of Dorset, our three bedroom cottage is warm and welcoming. Large windows looking out at the tree's and water, lots of boating, ATV trails, fishing, hiking, swimming and outdoor activities. Kayaks and a peddle boat, board games, some books, cards and unlimited internet and television with Prime Video are available for entertainment. Large barbecue, stove, cooking utensils and spices are here for the chef to enjoy.

Great place by the lake

We loved our stay at Summit Cottage. It was quiet at night and the view of the stars from the dock was incredible. It was nice to have access to the paddleboard and kayaks. Inside the cottage was great. Lots of amenities, and bigger than it appears in pictures. Most things were easy to figure out, but when I ran into problems operating the coffee maker, Ryan quickly responded. Would love to return in the future, this place is a gem.

Fantastic

The cabin was exactly as advertised. Communication with the host was superb. My husband and I stayed there for 8 nights in early May. A few things we really liked: - cozy indoor fireplace for cool rainy days - nice appliances including a dishwasher - thoughtful kitchen items like coffee, salt/pepper, sugar, oil - a big window and nice balcony to enjoy the view - comfortable sofas and good hot water - availability of kayaks and life jackets - close to Algonquin park for hiking The only minor negative was a squeaky bed in the largest bedroom, but overall we slept pretty well. 10/10, would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay

This cottage is beautiful, located on a lake, with a spectacular view. The hosts are very responsive and amazingly sympathetic. Everything was clean, as described. Maybe just take into consideration the necessity to have winter tires (as a minimum) to access the cottage with downhills and uphills that could be very tricky with ice and snow. But it's worth it ! We were 7, so maybe 7 chairs could be better to all sit on the beautiful wooden table, and maybe 7 towels also. If you consider working a bit, the wifi may be a bit too slow as it sometimes stops. We sadly couldn't use Netflix properly. But the wood stove and the view are enough to enjoy evenings. Highly recommended.

New Years getaway

Our family decided to have a New Years' get away from the loud city and spend a weekend for the New Year up north in a cottage. We have found a very nice cottage in a very secluded area that has met the criteria. The view from the cottage is spectacular. The sun would rise and warm your heart. In the evening we would spend the time by the fireplace and drink our hot chocolate. I would very much recommend this place to stay and have your own getaway from the noisy cities.

The home was spotless! It had every kitchen utensils you could ask for! The view was out of this world! The mattresses and pillows were very comfortable. It is set in the woods, which we loved!

We loved our stay!

Beautiful cottage, with many thoughtful touches. Comfortable, spotlessly clean and welcoming with wonderful views from the inside and outside. We had a perfectly relaxing week. Spent the days swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding and relaxing on the various outside sitting areas. And the evenings barbecuing, stargazing and sitting by a fire. The host was accommodating and quick to respond to questions. Our stay couldn’t have been better and we look forward to coming back soon. Thank you for everything, Ryan!

Great winter getaway

The cottage was a great home for our weekend winter getaway. The host Ryan was very helpful and provided tips for getting to the property in rough winter conditions. It was very quiet and private, with great views of the lake. Overall we had a great trip!

Wonderful clean cozy cottage with everything you need

We had a great experience staying at this cottage. It’s located in a lovely wooded area right on a lake, and the host was friendly helpful and easy to reach. They provide everything you need and the wood stove is a nice touch! They even left a Christmas tree up , which my 2 year old (and myself if I’m honest) , were pleased to see! We’re definitely considering booking for the summer when we can swim off the dock and use the kayaks !

It was great cottage in a fantastic and beautiful area. Very clean and well-maintained, with a welcoming touch. It had everything we needed for our week-long stay (bedding, kitchen appliances and tools, etc.). The owners were very nice, and provided detailed instructions covering everything you could need. Especially on how to get there – very clear directions! Definitely recommend this cottage!

Lovely cottage in a great location

This well appointed cottage is on White Trout Bay. The lake is quiet and scenic, and the cottage has everything you need. We particularly enjoyed using the kayaks and pedal boat. We're already planning to return next summer.

This cottage has it all, very clean, great dock, fishing and swimming. We really enjoyed our time here. Ryan was a great host and answered any questions we had. Definitely recommend this cottage!
