"The River House"
Nestled on the banks of the Ahnapee River, this delightful main floor duplex offers everything for your next Algoma and Door County adventure. A great mix of sleeping arrangements to accommodate all your guests needs. Featuring a well-equipped kitchen and an attached bonus sunroom with stunning 180 degree water views (plus, a comfy sofa bed). Perfect for a relaxing getaway, fishing charter, or a trip to Lambeau Field. Easy access to some of the areas best fishing directly off the dock. Some additional amenities include free high speed WiFi, AC, fire pit, smart TVs, and onsite laundry during your stay. Your own boat slip is reserved for the duration of your stay, overnight docking is permitted and encouraged. Fish right off the dock or have instant access to your boat.
We are located close to Algoma’s winery, brewery, picturesque Crescent Beach, unique restaurants and art galleries. A great place to call home while you're away. We hope you enjoy your stay!
Notes:
The property has two seperate duplexes with separate climate controls. Each duplex has their own private bathroom and kitchen. They share the grounds, garage, basement, and laundry.
Designated parking spot in driveway reserved for one vehicle or trailer on the right side of driveway. Please do not block the left side or park in the garage. Be aware there is no overnight street parking - Nov 1 to March 31 on any city street between 2am and 5am. During the summer season, there is plenty of vehicle parking across the street on the road. Please obey all posted street signs. Parking in front of the house is not permitted (it is a turning zone). From April 1 thru October 31, there is no parking of vehicles on lawns. Additionally, you can not park any type of trailer (including boat trailers) or motor homes for more than 48 hours on city streets. Trailer parking is available at Algoma Marina.
Please do not clean your fish inside the house. A cleaning station has been provided and is located right off the docks. It has running water and a drain. Please dispose of waste appropriately. Please follow Wisconsin DNR recommendations for responsible fish disposal. Fish waste, including guts, can be recycled at Algoma Marina. Dumping of fish waste in the river is a finable offense.
Due to the unpredictability of the river, children should not be left unsupervised outdoors. Life jackets should be worn at all times. Docks/slips can be unsteady, please enjoy them responsibly and safely. The shoreline is protected by riprap. For your safety, please do not climb on the rocks.
The property requires steps to enter and exit.
This unit has a dock/slip reserved for your stay. Please bring your own mooring equipment and secure your vessel properly. By making a reservation you are confirming you have read, understood, and accept the rules, regulations, and policies detailed in this Hold Harmless Agreement: As part of the consideration for my use and enjoyment of the boat slip, I agree to hold The River House, WHHI LLC, Its Officers, Directors and Members, harmless against any loss or damage, claim or cause of action, arising out of or in any way related to my use and enjoyment of the boat slip. Including, but not limited to, claims due to damage to my boat from docks, pilings, morrings, theft, fire, other boats, storms or natural causes of any nature whatsoever: and also including claims for death, personal injury or damage to property arising out of or related to my use and enjoyment of the boat slip, docks, and other facilities associated with the boat slip, whether suffered by my, any member of my family, or any guest present at my invitation or with my permission (express or implied). Also, I agree that this obligation of indemnity shall extend to all reasonable court costs and attorney fees, which any person or entity I am indemnifying my incure in the defense of any such claim.
I agree to be responsible for any damage caused by my vessel breaking loose from its mooring, if not properly secured. I, therefore, agree to secure my vessel properly to the appropriate pilings, posts, etc. provided for that purpose. U.S. Coast Guard approved procedures will be utilized as the standard for morring vessels.
Boats left in their slips for longer than the prescribed period, left with expired stickers, or boats for which any payment due hereunder is more than 30 days late, shall be removed at the owner's expense. At its option and solely for legal protection, WHII LLC may apply for a court order authorizing such removal. If it does, I agee to be responsible for all court cost and attorneys' fees incurred as a result. A copy of the Hold Harmless agreement is included in the Rules and Welcome Guide.
Laundry and Deep Freezer are located in basement common area. Both units have access. Please keep the area clean and remove waste after use. Laundry may be reserved from 10am to 4pm for professional cleaning of a unit. Please do not leave clothes in either machine.
Units are professionally cleaned and disinfected by Sargent Cleaning LLC. Check-out and Check-in times are necessary to allow enough time to turnover units. Please see Welcome Guide during your stay for more information.
If you are staying to see a Green Bay Packer game, you can take the Kewaunee County Chamber of Commerce Packer Shuttle to/from the game for $30 (check their website for availability).
