The property was clean, fun and conveniently located. All of the bedrooms were comfortable and the living areas spacious and great for hanging out together.
I wanted my family to experience New Mexico and the SW!What an amazing stay in a well appointed home! There was something for everyone. Games, hot tub, and relaxation areas gave us alone time and great family time. We could have stayed longer...so much to experience!
Thank you for a great stay at your home. You had everything my family needed to relax and enjoy togetherness and have some good laughs before our busy summer started- just what we needed.
This momma thanks you for giving me a home away from home and allowing me a captive audience w my 3 teenage boys.
The home was as advertised, mid century modern, nicely decorated, very clean. The outdoor space is where we spent 80% of our time, it was perfect as was the weather. The location was a short drive (or walkable) to the park and ride to get to Fiesta. Overall this was the perfect home for us to enjoy our adventure. Very comfortable for 6 adults. I highly recommend this property if you are spending time in Albuquerque. Don, the host was very pleasant and responsive.
This lovely renovated house has an open floor plan, fresh new kitchen and bathrooms. It also had something to entertain everyone in our family. We loved this "Family Game Night" themed rental with various indoor and outdoor activities to choose from: pac man, foosball, board games, putting green, corn hole or you could spend some down time in the hot tub! The place is within walking distance to Little Bear coffee, restaurants like Fork & Fig, Trader Joes, and the Winrock mall. We loved the creatively painted walls in the front courtyard and backyard. We were able to relax in the backyard in the evenings and use the grill. All in all a great rental in a quite neighborhood just north of uptown! We will be back.
It’s the kind of experience that deserves all 10’s and many explanation points. The check in systems are very detailed and specific which we loved and appreciated. Only those with something to hide would mind the rules that keep the property safe, clean and comfortable so you can just enjoy your trip. We are picky and have one person with asthma, this home checks all the boxes. Super clean, completely updated, great kitchen and beds. Main shower is a treat. The backyard entertaining living / dining / fire pit / hot tub and privacy surround are the perfect combination for a quiet evening to connect with those you love. Thanks Carolyn for being a delightful part of our host team.
Your home was so lovely and accommodating!
We had a blast with all the amenities that the home offers. We didn’t use the fire pit as much as I thought we would, but sure did enjoy the backyard a lot. The kitchen had just about everything needed to cook our big breakfasts! The beds were comfortable and everything was so clean and fresh!
My husband was so grateful for the tea pitcher!
We have a few suggestions in case you’re interested!
-Towel hooks in bathrooms.
-Nonslip something for the bathtub. It’s slippery.
-Dish rags for wiping down counter tops.
-Bakers rack for baked Cookies.
-More than 1 towel per person!
Overall everything was great!!
Would stay here again if I was ever back in that area!
We had a great stay. The property is very very nice with everything you need for a comfortable stay. My grandchildren had a blast with the foosball table and the mini golf. They loved the hot tub! Thank you!
Absolutely perfect house! Perfect for our family of 5. The house and yard were so well thought out!
Everything in the house is new and so well thought out for guests. And the yard is spectacular! We used every part of it - hot tub, putting green, fire pit, conversation area, AND dining area! We would recommend this house to anyone and everyone!
This uptown property is amazing! It has everything you need for a great vacation getaway. It is really convenient to everything. The neighborhood was so quiet and we thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet. Our host was Caroline and she was so welcoming, provided suggestions for places to go and things to do based on our interests. She was appropriately communicative ... she was readily available when we had a question or needed her, but she left us alone and did not reach out to us too much.If you need a place to stay, we highly recommend this property. If we visit ABQ again, we would hope this place is available again.
It was my first time visiting Albuquerque. I had heard the weather was very hot . So wanted to look for a place that had either a pool or a jacuzzi. Something to keep cool. This place definitely exceeded all expectations. Not only was the outside Jacuzzi perfect. It had a resort like feeling with all the amenities. It was very clean. Carolyn was very helpful at suggesting activities to do nearby. Fork and Fig was within walking distance and the food was delicious! Will definitely stay here again and highly recommend!!
We had a lovely time in ABQ visiting with family. The property was just as presented on VRBO - nothing could have been better - absolutely perfect! We wanted for nothing - everything needed to relax and enjoy our 4 day getaway was there. Centrally located, nice neighborhood (nothing fancy, but clean), walking distance to restaurants and shopping - we felt more than comfortable in the area taking morning walks. The only disappointment was that it was so cold we couldn't enjoy the fabulous outdoor amenities at this fabulous property. The property owner was terrific and offered a lot of information about the area and easy to contact should we require anything. VRBO was easy to work with and I'll be using again. HIGHLY recommend this property and this property owner!
It is NOT hard to give this listing 5 Stars at all. This house is located in a quiet neighborhood, completely modernly remodeled and extremely comfortable. We had plenty of space for everyone in my group to hang out, relax, grill and hotub. We had alot of fun hanging out with wine around the fire pit in the evenings after playing some cornhole. Donavan and Carolyn were very communicative before, and during our stay, and on top of everything, even leaving a nice bottle of wine from a local vineyard for our group. They gave us advice on local places to eat ( Fork & Fig) and places to see ( old Towne Albuquerque) ontop of advice for going to the Balloon festival that we were in town for. Carolyn was super accommodating, warm and friendly on our late arrival from a delayed flight as well. I can't speak any more highly of their service and this house. If we pass thru Albuquerque again, we will definitely book this house again!
I absolutely do not recommend staying here. This experience was awful and ruined our weekend. Within an hour of getting to the property, the property manager called us and accused us of several things that were not true and insulted members of our group. The accusations included that we had way more than the six women we had said would be staying there, that we were having a party, we only had seven people. There were six women that were staying there and a man who was staying near by who came to make sure we safely made it into the VRBO. We were then accused of having children, which was incredibly insulting and discriminatory to a woman in our group who is 41 years old and 4’9”. The property manager watching us and accusing without even asking what was going on made us feel harassed and uncomfortable. Also, be sure to read the fine print that states a security deposit has to be paid outside of Vrbo. This is a lot of trust to give to someone you do not know.
This rental is not a safe place to stay.
For good reason, MANY homes in this old neighborhood have bars on their windows.
Even the host, Donavan Lopez, admitted to us that the reason for the 24/7 cameras surveilling the front and back courtyards is because the walls around the property could easily be ‘hopped over’ (to use his words).
On the third night of our stay, a police helicopter spotlighted the neighborhood. We did not remain in the hot tub. The police were yelling over a loudspeaker from the helicopter to an apparent fugitive running from them on the ground. With Albuquerque being listed as of the most dangerous cities in the United States, and with helicopters circling above this rental, and having no weapons to defend ourselves, we did not feel safe for the remainder of our stay.
In this rental, there is a deadbolt on the front door, but the back entrance is a sliding glass door with a latch that is not easily engaged. There was no security bar to place in the track. As homeowners know, criminals wanting to make a forced entry can pry open a sliding glass door. Insert a screwdriver between the exterior door and the frame, and the door latch will release. The door can then be lifted from the track.
We should have chosen a rental in a more modern and safer neighborhood further north and east.
