This is a gem. It would be hard to overstate how much we enjoyed our stay here, and how perfect the place was for us. We were 3 adults and 2 children (ages 9 and 12); we stayed for 7 nights. The rambling configuration meant there was plenty of room - and privacy - for everyone, and the common areas were great for family time. It is well-appointed and it was stocked with everything we could possibly have needed. Mai was a terrific host. She was clear about her expectations, which we appreciated – and which we understood even better after seeing the property. It is a unique, historic house that was beautifully renovated and is meticulously maintained. She went out of her way to accommodate us and responded quickly to several queries we had during the week, including letting us borrow extra lawn chairs for concerts at Tanglewood. We also appreciated that she let us use her pass to the private beach at Queechy Lake – we had a great time there.
Outside, we enjoyed the firepit, the patio, the yard and the solitude. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to lodge. We highly recommend this house and we hope to stay here again on our next trip to the Berkshires.
P.S. The location was great! It is convenient to all the recreational and cultural offerings of the Berkshires, but without the crowds and traffic of Lenox and Stockbridge. (E.g., we didn't realize it at the time, but it's much more convenient for Tanglewood concerts because afterward you go in the opposite direction of the masses).
