"This property was a perfect fit for our family of 5 plus grandparents. We walked and biked to/from town every day (favorites were the Hanalei Bread Company for breakfast, Juice Bar for smoothies and açaí bowls, and Wishing Well for shaved ice), and we enjoyed all of the fun beach toys and surf boards. The grounds, landscaping and outdoor shower are magical—quintessential Hawaii. Mahalo for a wonderful stay, Mike and Leila!"

"We loved staying at this perfect Hanalei house! We're a family of 4 and it was perfect for me, my husband, and our two young kids. It's an unbelievable location (just far enough outside of town that you don't have the noise/congestion), but close enough to get there immediately for anything you want. The gorgeous beach is a block over and an easy stroll, and it's a short drive to Tunnels beach and other sites. The house is bright, airy, modern, and so well stocked with everything we needed. The hosts are super generous with plenty of towels (and extra beach towels), kitchen supplies, and a stash of beach items they let you borrow. Two bright, lovely bedrooms with incredibly comfortable beds, two fantastic bathrooms, and a modern kitchen, dining area, and fun family room area. We loved doing a puzzle and lounging on the porch each evening. It's a really nice, friendly little street with pretty views and local character. Communication was fantastic, and they even let us check in early... we got into town with some tired kids and were so grateful to be able to settle in. Thank you for a fantastic, dream stay at such an incredible location!"

"Great location in Hanalei! We loved being walking distance from both the beach and the main town area. The house met all our needs as a family of 3. The unexpected highlight was having the outdoor shower when we returned from a beach day. Would definitely stay here again!"

"Mark is the consummate host -ready and willing not only to help with your stay at Riverhouse, but also to help with your arrangements for activities in the area. We LOVED what we called our “treehouse” as the view out the windows was of beautiful green trees, plants, colorful flowers, etc. We found all things we needed in the kitchen, laundry room and bathrooms. Clean, soft linens on the comfortable beds. For those who haven’t been to Hawaii in recent years, bring ear plugs for night sleeping as the roosters all over the island are avid crowers! In other respects, this couldn’t be a more peaceful place to be."
