Room was no maintained. Heavy mold on the Ceiling. Mold on the window blinds. Rug in living area was damp. There was a musty smell when we opened the door on arrival. No staff on site. We did not feel comfortable given the hygiene. We decided to leave after about 45 minutes and did not stay the night. worst place we have ever booked.

Wonderful views. Property has a cool layout with the loft for added sleeping space. DID NOT like the fact that we had to strip beds and do most of the work a cleaning crew should have. That should be more clear in the description.

Loved the location as nice and quiet and right by the beach and a couple of bars and restaurants. Nice pool and nice big room. Nice and clean. Would stay again.

We had the standard room which was nice and big with seperate dining and kitchen area with fridge and microwave but no cooker. Bed was comfy and big with nice clean linen. The furnishings and lamps were very dusty tho but everywhere else fairly clean with the exception of the outside of the fridge which was well used and quite dirty especially the handle but I think this was just because it was old. Although the ad says partial or sea view you can’t really see the sea due to the trees the garden however is very pretty with lots of Buddhas. The location is spot on for the beach and small marina and a couple of cafes in walking distance including the sunset bar which was never open disappointingly or when it was it was never open at sunset which is strange considering the name! The LARC tour nearby is great to do. It was very quiet when we went infact I think we were the only guests so it was great but there is only a few rooms so would never get crowded. The pool area is lovely and nice clean pool. Great price for what you get. I would recommend. Didn’t see any staff or owners whilst we were there but they do send email with clear checkin instructions. I did email the property whilst there but didn’t get a reply, maybe it went into their junk folder!

Very quirky layout that worked really well. Wonderful view and the interior space was much bigger than the photos suggested. Definitely stay again.

We booked this property same day while we’re in Gladstone. Arrived to check in and no staff. Received a confirmation email and a text - place looked deserted. Office closed up and no one answering mobile or office number and mail jammed in the door. Called Expedia and they couldn’t get anyone either. Waited for over and hour past check in time and then had no choice but to find somewhere else to stay. Ended up driving 3 hours to Hervey Bay. No problem with them taking the money though. Hardly any mobile coverage in the area. Absolutely disgraceful. $414 gone.

I really liked the layout, the location is great and property is wonderful with a pool, great sleeping layout and size. Very kind and polite manager. There were some general maintenance issues that do need attention however, such as flickering lights in bathroom, very dirty dishwasher that is no longer cleaning the dishes adequately, dirty freezer in one fridge and another fridge did not have a working freezer so need to be careful from a food safety perspective. An outdoor chair was fraying so need replacing and there was a chair missing in the inner dining table. There is no washing facility, so couldn't clean clothes and this was an oversight of mine as I was expecting it for this size property and for more duration stays, however would have been nice.

A bad experience

We arrived late which we had advised. There was no light outside and the heating was not on - pitch dark and freezing cold. The light in the small bedroom and the corridor was not working. The office was closed, no one answered the phone nor the mails I sent. The fan at the toilet was as noisy as a helicopter, as was the aircon/heating.

Luxury suite?

While the bed was comfortable and the shower really good, we were taken aback at the instructions that upon our departure we were to strip the sheets off the bed and empty the rubbish bin into the big bins at the back of the property!!! There was no tea or coffee provided only what looked like what other guests had left behind (although there was long life milk in the in the fridge) There was also several forms of communication that if the kitchen wasn’t left in a tidy state there would be a $25 cleaning fee and a $75 cleaning fee if there was sand on the floor Absolutely no late check out and the ocean view must have been before the trees and shrubs grew taller!!! No one in reception and when I rang the number as advised to ask re parking I received no response to my voice mail. Another guest advised us of where to park our car 3 external doors to the small suite including one right next to the bed Not sure the title of the booking is earned or warranted other than a reason to put a big price tag on the room per night
