"This cabin served as a perfect getaway for my wife and I. We spent our mornings in Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor and came back in the afternoon to relax and enjoyed the lake. The fire pit is a nice touch for the evenings and we found everything we needed inside the cabin."

"Wonderful place to spend a week in Maine for our family of 4! Well appointed cabin right on a beautiful lake. We had 4 kayaks and life jackets to use while we were there - there’s a diving board out in the middle of the lake that you can paddle to! It was an easy drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor. Great hiking right in the vicinity of the cabin too - highly recommend the Schoodic Mountain hike and then a picnic/swim at nearby Donnell Pond. Tim was so great to communicate with and he has an awesome helpful guide for groceries/restaurants/hikes nearby. I would highly recommend this place!"

"We loved our stay at this little gem! Everything about the cottage and location was just lovely. The view from the deck and the cottage was stunning and you felt like you were on a boat. It was so very peaceful and quiet. We saw loons most every day. The water was very clean for swimming. The inside of the cottage was beautiful, very clean and so livable. We even enjoyed sitting by the windows and reading on a rainy day! The AC unit was great and made the stay so very comfortable. We enjoyed cooking and the kitchen was well stocked. We loved the place and location so much that we basically hung out every day we were there! Too pretty to leave. Mark was a very responsive host and most helpful! Thank you for a relaxing and peaceful vacation!!"

"This is our second time staying here. It's a wonderful place on a beautiful lake that has all the amenities a family needs to make the most of their time- i.e. kayaks, paddle boards, outdoor seating, grill, fire pit. The house is clean and well kept. The host is great with communication and organization. We look forward to staying there again in the future!"

"If you're looking for a traditional Maine camp experience this place was perfect. It's on a beautiful pond in proximity to Bar Harbor and Ellsworth. My family loved both the location and the camp itself, including the numerous board games that are located in the camp. I'd recommend this place to anyone interested in the Maine camp experience!"

"We would stay again and recommend to others. Host was great and excellent communication. Not a deal breaker but a good to know.... shower is a tight fit (I'm 5'8" 160lbs) had to bend down a little to wash my hair and not much room to shave. Kitchen could use some new baking pans."

Private cottage on the lake

"The cottage is in a beautiful and quiet and convenient location. We enjoyed the days we stayed. Sadly, left a day early after a storm knocked out the power. Got a headstart on our long drive home. The cottage was clean and the host was friendly. A nice way to go to "camp" Most everything you would need was there. Better than a hotel for sure. I hate to leave any negativity but I'm also honest. The cottage is showing signs of a lack of maintenance. There was sawdust (?) raining down from around where the chimney penetrates the roof. Carpenter bees or ants possibly. Did not see anything. Two of the windows could only be closed with one person pushing from outside while another tried to crank the handle. Wouldn't have noticed if not for the thunderstorm. The deck railing is designed for sitting on but I wouldn't feel safe doing so. There are signs of rot on exterior trim. One burner on the stove would not heat (electric) To be fair I use gas at home so I'm not sure if maybe during cleaning it got loose or something. Didn't play with it. The coffee pot was cracked. Not really a complaint. There is no AC. Probably because (as we were told) it's not needed most of the time and the crank windows make it pretty much impossible to install. As it was 85-86 and the gas heater (pilot?) was trickling heat continually it was quite warm. There are good fans."
