Hotel seems to be older, but has had some updates. Our room was clean and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. Based on reviews I read I expected it to be horrible. My biggest complaint for our stay is, there’s no elevator. We were on the second floor and had to make a bunch of trips to carry all of our luggage and my husband’s hunting gear up the stairs. Also the large patio window looked over the indoor pool. That made it feel very secluded because we had to keep the curtains closed. Plus you can hear all of the pool noise. The pool did look very nice from our window view. Very kid friendly. The restaurant/bar was very nice. The staff was great. We will most likely stay there again next year for pheasant season.

Very spacious room; the pool area, although I didn't use it, looked awesome, The room wasn't the cleanest, but I've been in worse. Being in a room that faced the courtyard, the shears didn't provide the best of privacy, so I had to keep the slider curtain closed most of the time. The onsite restaurant was great! Excellent variety of food and drink choices. Complimentary breakfast had plenty of protein options. I would definitely stay hear again, if the opportunity presents itself.

We brought our grandchildren to the hotel for the pool/waterpark. They loved it and it was a big hit to them. The part we were so disappointed in was the overwhelming smell of marijuana smoke in the hallways and lobby area, which we had to walk through to get anywhere in the hotel. For this reason, we do not think we are going to bring the grandkids back.

It’s a large place and likely needs a much larger staff for maintenence. Could take more pride in keeping west patios and pool area in better condition. Pool ladder needs replace for safety and hot tub a little too warm for safety. Rm 236 tub/shower tile in terrible condition. The breakfast staff is so friendly and really doing a great job. Storybook and college events are wonderful draws for people. Ramkota owners should capitalize on this with updates and maintenence.
