Fantastic location in the historic centre of the Town. I had a “Business” Room which was comfortable and spacious with a sitting area, almost like a “Junior Suite”. One drawback is Hotel Reception has very limited hours, but the Hotel Management is very helpful when contacted by telephone.

Der Aufenthalt war sehr gut. Nur Nachts war es etwas laut. Alles war fußläufig erreichbar. Wir können die Unterkunft empfehlen, allerdings muß man Treppen laufen können.

No AC, No elevator, No shampoo, No evening reception -in short, it could be better. If you travel in summer time, be aware that the room will be hot, especially if you get a room with windows facing south. I had a "business" room, maybe slightly bigger than standard and a free bottle of water, but no shampoo. The check in didn't go as smooth as expected. I never received the door code they were supposed to send but it was resolved by phone.

The location was Outstanding. Difficult to find your way in, miss having a reception person, but it’s doable. Excellent price. Rooms clean but stained carpet and small bathroom.

The stairs are a little difficult (steep, curved, and tiny)…but the location is tough to beat. Walk from train station is hard with luggage. Staff was incredibly friendly.

Great spot. Sort of a self serve hotel. Staff there each morning to clean and restock. Very nice people. Just don't expect to go down there in the afternoon or evening for a extra roll of toilet paper. The room was great. Very clean, room to spread out. Perfectly locAted. Walk to everything.

Location is great. room size good although quite basic (though clean). First impression was Let down by having to walk up 3 flights of stairs and the red carpet needs to be replaced. In the absence of a lift the staff insisted they carried our cases down the stairs as we left the next morning.

The hotel has a wonderful location. The room was spacious. All good Checkin was a nightmare. There was no staff. When I buzzed, I got someone who said to phone or check my email. I did not have access to my phone, making it impossible to get in. I was rescued by a tour guide so was able to get in eventually

Excellent location and great value for money The hotel’s location is exceptional, right in the city center and next to the Christmas markets. Everything is within walking distance, which makes it very convenient. It takes about a 20-minute walk from the train station. The hotel is clean, although a bit dated. The rooms are well maintained and comfortable. Soundproofing is fairly good, there is naturally some noise in the evening due to the nearby Christmas market, but it didn’t bother us at all. Customer service was also very good. Check-in is done online prior to arrival, and although we experienced a few difficulties, someone quickly came to assist us. We also had some issues with hot water in the shower, but we eventually got used to it. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for money. I would definitely recommend it for a stay in Aachen, especially if you want to be right in the heart of the city.

The Good: Fantastic location, smack in the middle of the historic center of the former capital of Europe. Right on the corner of the Marktplatz. The bad: Even though many reviews mentioned an elevator, it had been taken out of commission even though it was still operable a while before our stay, so we were on a 4th floor with a winding staircase, with me having cardiac issues. The good again: Luckily, the young man at reception showed understanding and initiative and let me use the elevator to bring up my luggage (and myself) while he was still there. Unfortunately, since the reception is operating only part-time, I still had to climb the stairs when we would come back late. Conclusion: Please fix / bring back the elevator. With it, I would give you a perfect score and would be willing to come back, even at higher prices. Without it, not so much…
