「The hotel itself is magnificent, sitting on the hillside overlooking the Welsh and English border. From the moment you step in you know you are inside a great hotel and full of history. The team where attentive and ensured we were looked after at check in and throughout.
The upgrade was reasonably priced and well worth it having full access to the Signature areas.
The signature lounge was impressive and with stunning views.
Thank you all for a very enjoyable stay.」

「**Disappointing anniversary stay**
We booked Lanelay Hall over three months in advance for a special anniversary and were looking forward to the luxury boutique experience advertised. We had hoped that booking so far ahead would allow us to be allocated one of the more desirable rooms.

「We loved our stay - property was clean and in good condition, and walkable to everything we wanted to do. Would stay here again. Pro tip - there’s a coffee shop run out of a church about a block away. Hours are atypical, but great coffee and the nicest people on planet earth!!!」

「The room was fantastic but the check in experience was very poor.
We had a printout from an email which said to use the Gileston Manor Courtyard with cream gates as the entrance, upon arrival at 7:30PM (more than 3 hours before check in ended) the gates were locked and the number provided was going straight to voicemail. Texts and voicemail was left with no response.
After waiting for 20 minutes with the car hazards on, on a main road, we decided to look around and parked in the Manor Estate...
