"Although the hotel sits in a city under a slow reconstruction the hotel have done a lot upgrading. The Hotel it is a historic site with all the modern amenities with the exception of an elevator at least I did not see one nor did I have a need. There is a lot of positive things to say, starting from their personnel, full of joy to serve you with warmth and attention to detail, they really strive for perfection. I stayed for 5 nights and every day there was something magical, for example, they lock the parking gates at 12 midnight but if you notify them you will be out late they will gladly be awaiting for you to call that you have arrive and the guard will come out and open the gate for you. Yes El Salvador is safe but yet they practice the little things that gives you peace of mind. "The panoramic cabin is a basic shed with rudimentary electricity and plumbing. It’s more like camping with an outhouse included. There are gaps in the clapboard siding walls you can see through. It’s sold as rustic but it’s barely inhabitable. On the positive side the family that runs it were gracious and kind people. They were helpful and offered assistance in going into town. There recommendations to go to El Congo made our stop in Lake Coatepaque a wonderful memory point. Possibly the other rooms offer a better experience. "
