「Winifred the waitress, was always there to help you with food choice or drinks, And always smiling. Also Top chef, Thomas would always come out of kitchen and ask if your food was ok and not fergetting mzungu the other chef with his lovely pasta. Will definetly return.Graeme and Ross」

「I enjoyed my 3 night stay at ModernSouthHotel in diani beach that I extended my stay an additional two nights after examining other more expensive properties. Modern South has a nice pool, superb service (thanks Felix, Juma, Lugo,Patrick) from people who care, the rooms are fine (not luxurious but everything you need w plenty of space nice shower water pressure and a great firm bed w nice linens (that amazingly are changed daily!). Also, the beach is a 30 minute walk or an easy 100bob/$1usd...

「This place does not offer what they advertise. Contact number is not Kenyan. Very poor communication when eventually comtacted. Shared toilet and showeroom - which was unaware of when booking. Room not cleaned during stay and had to request clean towels. Kitchen area poorly maintained. Noisy at times too due to layout.」

「This was a complete mess. To start, they forgot about our reservation and had to put us in a temporary room for two days. During this time, there was a blackout that no one thought to update us on. Honestly, that temporary room was the best part of the stay. Our official room had a roach infestation and, when I told the host, he had a fumigation company come and spray while our bags were in there (of course, this ended up with roaches running into one of our bags).
