"The room looked exactly like the pictures. However, there were hair in the shower, spiderwebs throughout the bedroom, mold in the bathroom and the hot water tap was leaking and super difficult to close/open. Staff were very friendly though. "

"The entire booking through Expedia online was a scam. There is NO Lake Haven Suites in Taupo. I demand a full refund. The address given on the confirmation email is that of Cobb & Co. There is a Lake Haven Apartments, but they don't take bookings through Expedia and they had no record of a booking in my name. SCAM"

"Teresa the host went out of her way to be helpful, even driving to find us when we couldn't fine the lovely apartment. I would give 11 out of 10 as a review. Definitely go there. The Powder Keg restaurant and pub is easily walkable! Thanks Mark and Joanna"

"Great hostel with very friendly staff! We stayed in a private ensuite which was newly renovated and looked great and was very clean and big enough. The only issue we had was with the water temperature regulation in our ensuite shower, but they said they would look into it. The location of the hostel couldn't be better in the center of Taupo, just a minute's walk to the lake and nice restaurants. Definitely recommend staying at BoBs!"

"The owner /staff of the hostel is very friendly and also very helpful. Loved the relaxed feel of the hostel!!! The mattresses of the beds are a bit dated though. Otherwise all good. "
