"My wife and I felt very lucky to have found The Miners Den which is a very new creation of a great proprietor who really cares about your experience.The hand built cabin is gently fitted to the landscape of balsam firs and hardwoods with a light touch.It reminded me of the few small cabins in the White Mountains you find along the trails.Everything you need less food is provided.For a couple in their sixties with a friendly dog we will be excited to get back there and see what’s happening.Oh...

"Very rustic with a HUGE emphasis on hunting. There were bear, turkey and antlers mounted on the wall. The place was a nice size. It was nice to have the bathroom down the hall from the bedroom. The living room couches and bed were comfy. Some of the fixtures weren't quite right. The antler chandeliers had cob webs, the sink had a hole where the sprayer was supposed to go, and the outlets weren't all secure in the wall. There was a lot of junk outside the cabin and we had to use our own towels...

" Beware - read the details of places carefully before booking. let me start by saying I take partial responsibility for this nightmare by not reading the description more carefully. I expected rustic cabin but I didn’t see that it did not have electrics or running water. I didn’t expect big gaps in the wall boards that allowed you to look through the walls of the cabin. Which might not have been so bad had there not been swarms of mosquitos that attacked while we were looking the place over. It...

"This house was everything that was promised...secluded, well stocked, and very clean. I was particularly happy with the amount of supplies already in the kitchen when I arrived. Every morning I was able to have a hot cup of coffee out on the deck and listen to the water lapping against the rocks. I even had a little seal friend swim up into the cove to say hello.
My only word of warning is that the road to the house is unpaved and you really need to take your time driving to and from town....
