「The staff appeared to be well intended but there were a couple of “concerns “. After registration, the desk staff informed me there was a “ modified “ breakfast. They’d had a fire and needed to just have cold items temporarily. I understand the situation but I think there should have been a small refund or had it on their web page. 「Check in was fast & friendly. I like that the parking attendant showed us where to park & saved our spots when we ran errands in the car. The lounge was so friendly! Really good coffee in the foyer in the morning. We had a balcony room on the harbor. Shower was hot & good pressure. This is a classic New England motel style hotel. It could use some modernization but then again, maybe not ! ☺️」

「They are just opening for the season. Possibly understaffed. Complimentary breakfast is very good in terms of selection, but always on the cold side even with the use of chaffing dishes. We had no hot water in our bathroom sink. It was never fixed despite telling two different people about the issue on two separate days. Excellent location to view the sunsets. Good dinner at their restaurant. 」

「Brought my husband for his birthday weekend and we both had such an AMAZING time!! The property and our room was beyond CLEAN! Very Very peaceful & relaxing, which is what we wanted after a busy work week. Tye room was super cute! I have done alot of traveling and this property is by far the BEST I have ever stayed at!! 「Our room was recently renovated. It was one of the cleanest rooms we’ve ever had. Furnishings were beautiful & tasteful. Everything smelled new. Some minor details (bedside lamps & table) were to be added later. The front desk person was extremely helpful & friendly. The breakfast was very good - boiled eggs, homemade muffins, good coffee. Loved staying in this beautiful inn.」

「I had the perfect stay at the Hawks House Inn. I throughly enjoyed sitting in the enclosed porch drinking my coffee while listening to the morning song birds. Steve is an excellent innkeeper. The inn is in an ideal location to explore mid coast Maine. 」

「Very pleasant room, pleasant staff, beautiful landscaping, clean and comfortable swimming pool. Great water's edge seating. Great recommendations by staff (for breakfast specifically). I will come back as soon as I can find an excuse to visit the area again. We took home a memory of the trip as well - a little blue rubber ducky for our bath. 」

「Tight room with internet tv - no local channels. Not all rooms overlook the bay, but house has a common area with magnificent view. No breakfast, but kitchen open all hours with fridge for storage. Excellent seafood restaurant across the street」
