"I really enjoyed my stay at the Kume Island Resort. First off Kume island is a peaceful beautiful place. The hotel is in a good area across the street from the beach (but only partial view of the beach). It’s about a 15 min taxi ride from the ferry port. It’s a clean hotel, nice staff and good breakfast. My room was large and recently remodeled and nice. I highly recommend this hotel. If you stay very long on Kume island, I recommend you get a rental car. The hotel staff will help you with this. They have two people on staff that speak great English and were so nice. Kume Island is like stepping back into 1970 in many ways. I love it there. "

"It gave us everything we needed. One minute to Aharen Beach and friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the dinner at the restaurant was really good as well."

"Wir verbrachten eine Woche im Hotel mit Halbpension und fühlten uns sehr wohl und willkommen. Das Zimmer war gut, die Sprudelbadewanne im Badezimmer war super. Das Essen wunderbar. Es gab abends 5 x italienisches Fünfgängemenü (Wahl zwischen Fisch und Fleisch) und 2 x japanisches Essen. Beim Frühstück stand westliches oder japanisches Frühstück zur Auswahl. Die Hotelküche beherrscht beides sehr gut. Das Personal spricht etwas Englisch. Genug gut für unsere Bedürfnisse. Ich empfehle das Hotel uneingeschränkt weiter."

"The hosts were very accommodating and helpful all around. Meals provided were delicious and plentiful. I requested 2 more pillows due to my pregnancy comforts and it provided upon arrival. These accommodations are directly facing the beach, great location. The owners were promptly at the boat terminal to pick us up. So many great things about this place and I would recommend to anyone who wants a relaxing yet adventurous ( snorkeling, water activities) stay."

"Yuumi and her team were so lovely and made us feel so welcome in Aka! They picked us up from the port even though it was a short way which was so helpful with our luggage. Hosei is right on the beach front and you can see the best sunset from here as well as relax in the day. It is so tranquil! We went during New Year and many places on the island were closed but they served food which was very traditional Japanese style. The rooms and shared bathroom/shower were always very very clean. You can wash your clothes with the communal machine which was brilliant. We stayed on Aka for a week and had the best time doing scuba and snorkelling too! Thank you Yuumi and team ☀️"
