Dunk Island Ski Vacations

2bdrm 2bthrm unit we booked had plenty of space and good kitchen and laundry facilities. Room wasn't that clean when we arrived. Beds were uncomfortable in both rooms and furnishings were tired and in need of updating. Shower in second bathroom could not be used as pressure was terrible and water temperature was either searing hot or freezing cold. Reception didn't seem to be staffed much during our stay so thay made it hard to raise concerns. On the whole, good location, the secure underground parking was great and pool was fantastic. Just need to up their cleaning game and update furnishings to make the stay more comfortable

What a wonderful resort. The property is absolutely stunning as are the staff! You don’t need to leave the resort, everything is at your fingertips. The included activities are an added bonus and a great way to meet new people. Every staff member always had a smile on their face and nothing was too much trouble.

We had a 3-bedroom apartment on the 4th floor. Had a good view out to sea between buildings. Secure basement parking was easy to access. Our apartment had two bathrooms, one was an ensuite. Daily towel change and bed making (although ours was missed a couple of times but not an issue). A great pool overlooking the esplanade, with pool towels supplied on request. Check in and out, and any request were super easy and helpful.

Good size room and great location as everything is close. The staff are great and have good knowledge of the area. Definitely a good base to explore the region and reasonably priced.

Rooms were clean and tidy with only the upper four floors yet to be renovated. All staff were pleasant and well presented. They were very obliging when ask for assistance. The breakfast selection was immense and catered for every requirement.

This is honestly my favourite accommodation in North Queensland! Staff/management are superior in terms of communication and care. View is one of the best you can come across.

We had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel in Cairns and couldn’t be happier with our experience. The location is absolutely perfect—right in the heart of Cairns, yet still peaceful and quiet. Everything you need is within easy walking distance: the beach, restaurants, cafés, and shops are all just about 200 metres away, which made getting around effortless, especially as a family. The hotel itself was exceptionally clean and very well maintained. From the rooms to the common areas, everything felt fresh, comfortable, and thoughtfully cared for. We also felt very safe throughout our stay, which is incredibly important when travelling with family. What really sets this place apart, though, is the people. It’s family owned, and you can genuinely feel it in the way the owners and staff treat their guests. The hospitality was sincere, warm, and welcoming—not forced or scripted. They went out of their way to make us feel at home, always happy to help, give local tips, or simply have a friendly chat. It was a fantastic family stay, and we created great memories here. If you’re looking for a clean, safe, centrally located hotel with heart and outstanding hospitality, this place is a gem. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cairns.
