Parking garage is small overhead. Our truck did not fit and we were rold ee needed to come move it. Staff didnt have any good recommendatiins. The paid lot they tell you to go to is not secure and has a recird of break ins. Had to find our own place. Ended up paying to park at a hotel a half mile down street. This needs to be fixed. Probobly wont come again until so.

I'm fairly picky about hotel rooms and the details, but I had a hard time finding anything less than exceptional at this place. The black out shades, the decor, the bedding - all well done. I would highly recommend it to others.

I've stayed in a few different Fairmont hotels before, and my experiences have largely been positive. Fairmont hotels tend to be in older and more historic buildings, and their charm and vintage quirks, excellent service, and amenities have kept me coming back for special vacation experiences. For this particular trip, I was traveling with my (elderly) mom, and so my goal was to make sure that she was happy with everything. The exterior of this building is magnificent and it stands like a beacon at the top of Nob Hill. The entry is grand, and it feels special. For our four night trip, we booked a double queen room and when we checked in we were sent to room 160 which is on the Mezzanine floor, just one level above the lobby. The room itself is HUGE, and the white marble (recently renovated) bathroom with an oval free standing tub, water closet, and large stand-up shower was one of the largest and nicest that I've experienced. There were plenty of fluffy and soft white towels which we appreciated. The beds were comfortable and the round windows in both the bedroom and the bathroom were a unique architectural touch. Honestly, I really liked the room itself, however, there were issues. The vent by the door was loud and the sound of the nearby elevator was constantly making a loud whirring sound throughout the night, the ceiling vent in the water closet was CAKED with dust, and it was really gross, and hard not to notice. There was no mini-bar, and there were also no robes.
