9.8/10 Exceptional! (36 reviews)
Where do I even begin? The view is absolutely breathtaking, you wake up with the pyramids right in front of you. Having coffee on the balcony overlooking the pyramids and the lively streets of Giza is an unforgettable experience. If you’ve always dreamed of visiting the pyramids, this is the place to stay.
What truly makes this place special is the staff. The owner, Abdul, and his son, Mohamed, treat you like family. As a solo female traveler, I felt completely safe from airport pickup to making sure I was always taken care of.
The room was very clean, with great AC, a modern bathroom, and cold water provided. If I could rate it higher than 5 stars, I would. It can be a bit noisy outside, but that’s part of the Giza experience and earplugs are provided.
Highly recommend!

9/10 Wonderful! (67 reviews)
Our stay at the Hyatt Centric Cairo West was great. The hotel was very clean — every time you reached your floor, you were greeted with a delicious, fresh scent, and the rooms were spotless. The staff were quick to answer any questions we had.
The pool was very nice, though we only got to use it one day. Service by the pool was a bit lacking — the wait staff serving drinks were hard to flag down, though that may have been because there was only one person covering the whole area.
The Muse restaurant was great — staff were friendly and attentive. Smokeys restaurant was also excellent: the food was amazing, and the view and vibe were wonderful, with music playing softly in the background so you could still hear your conversation. Laundry service was impeccable as well.
The only issue we had was with the security guard at the door during checkout. Our friend arrived to pick us up for the airport, and the guard questioned her extensively for name and ID — until her partner gave him some money, at which point he immediately let us leave. This was very off-putting and shouldn’t happen at a hotel like this. Our friend mentioned it’s almost normal at hotels here, but I don’t understand why, and I hope hotel management addresses it.
Our stay was amazing until this last incident right before we left. For reference, we checked out Saturday, July 17, 2026, around 11:30pm.

7.6/10 Good! (891 reviews)
Overall, I had a pleasant stay at the Cairo Hilton. The hotel is an impressive landmark on the banks of the Nile, and you can easily imagine it being a truly world-class property in its prime. The location on the river is excellent and offers fantastic views.
However, the hotel now feels heavily used and is beginning to show its age. As smoking is permitted in some rooms, my room had a noticeable tobacco smell, which was disappointing. The security presence at the entrance also felt overly rigid and, at times, unwelcoming. While security is important, some staff appeared inexperienced, and a warmer, more customer-focused approach would create a much better first impression.
There were also several maintenance and service issues. The bins in the room were broken, and housekeeping was inconsistent, with room servicing feeling somewhat temperamental during my stay.
One point to note is that, although the hotel enjoys an excellent riverside location, it is not within convenient walking distance of local shops, so most outings require transport.
Overall, the Cairo Hilton has great potential, an iconic setting and many strengths, but greater attention to maintenance, customer service and room standards would significantly enhance the guest experience to true 5 star.
