Mexican Riviera Kid friendly Vacations

Amazing views and property with gorgeous balcony. Staff was so kind and helpful. Pools were beautiful food was great at both restaurants. There Is also a security gate and only those staying on the property can can Is which was a nice safety feature. Ubers can pick up and drop off right outside of the security gate. Note: this resort is on the side of a large hill and while they have staff running golf carts throughout the day to transport guests, this resort is not for those with mobility issues. I got my elevation steps In by choosing to walk, but It Is steep. Additionally, not sure if its every room, but my room had 3 stairs from the sleeping area to the kitchen/bathroom area, just needed to be careful during middle of the night bathroom breaks in the dark. Again, not an issue for me, just something to keep in mind for some!

We stayed for 8 nights at Solaris Lighthouse with 2 kids ages 11 and 12. Things that were great: -Rooms were clean and housekeeping was super great. They refresed water bottles, towls, and cleaned everyday. AC was good in the rooms. -The breakfast buffet was great! We loved the omlette and crepe bar. Pool snack bar was good and fresh. Everybody always found something to eat. -Pools were never too crowded and kept clean. Lots of chairs and towels to go around. -staff was always super friendly and happy to help. -The banquet/party nights were awesome. Mexican night, father’s day etc. -The spa is great! I had a great massage. Things that could stand to improve -To be clear, the beach is not swimmable at all. -The swim up bar was was understaffed in my opinion. You often had to stand around a while to get served. They played music very loud. -the reservation restaurants (don gus, francescos, but we couldn’t get into tavo) are mid at best. I would put it in the wedding food category. -There is not a ton for kids to do. Aside from swim in the 2 of 3 pools. Could use an arcade, pool slides, games, anything to occupy tweens. -this is a timeshare resort, and when you first get there, they will heavily try to sell you on it. We really just wanted to get to our room when we first got there not listen to a pitch. Overall, we had a great time at the resort. We were comfortable and well fed. We got off resort a lot for dinner and fun. But it worked well as a home base.

We had a nice big remodeled room but we didn’t have hot water in the shower, it was like luke warm, saw a cockroach in the bathroom, and the sheets were rough, scratchy, hot cotton which I didn’t like. We have been coming to Cabo Azul for five years and the prices have really gone up. The pool was beautiful but the drink prices have went up and they add 18 percent gratuity charge to each tab. The servers say if you pay extra tip it goes to me but that would be 40 percent tip. Also, Starbucks raised there prices the second day we were there. The people are very nice and the property is clean. Cabo has US prices and beyond if you are planning on eating at the nice trendy farm to table restaurants. We always love coming to Cabo Azul, but are disappointed with the inflated prices.

The owner was on-site and it really felt like a “home” when you walked in and were greeted by her and the staff. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating.

No need to look at any other resorts in Cabo. This is truly the best one we’ve ever stayed at. We love it. 3 visits in 18 months. It’s the best!
