East of England Kid friendly Vacations

Location was perfect. Family suite was excellent for our family. Room was clean. Only recommendation would be to have an additional mirror in the room.

The lady receptionist was alwful, she was on her phone and had poor customer experience. Was not smiley, or gracious and was abrupt and said she was the manager and was not!

Really impressed with our room, in fact, the whole hotel. What a gem.

Hotel ideally located for museums, parks and close to tube station, does not having parking facilities.

The wall is so thin l felt like the next door guests were in our room and their noise kept us up. My daughter and l had to whisper the whole time so other guests won’t hear our voice. There is no bottled water and k was pretty surprised because even cheap hotels would at least have a couple of bottled water for each stay and this supposed to be a 5 star hotel.

Rooms were tiny. Just ok

Perfect location, 5 minutes walk from Paddington Station with plenty of cafes/restaurants/pubs nearby. We were on second floor, you can hear the underground, but it stops at midnight and didn't disturb us. The rooms are basic but very clean and comfortable. There is a kettle close to the rooms with tea/coffee facilities. Also useful water dispenser and vending machine. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There was scaffolding and builders outside at the time of our stay, which were noisy, but luckily they didn't work over the weekend.

The RIU is a fantastic choice if you are visiting the London Victoria. You can literally see Victoria station when you walk out the front door. Easy walking distance to Buckingham Palace, St James Park, Westiminster Abbey, Big Ben and Trafalgar Square. The hotel is clean, modern and features an in-suite bathroom, ac, a hairdryer and coffee. Ice is available from the bar on the first floor. The breakfast buffet, located right across the street, is vast, featuring hot and cold choices, a toasting station with a ton of bread choices, a fruit bar, cereal bar, juices and coffee. You also have plenty of shopping and dining options around. Also, having access to Victoria station is very convenient. Not only to and from Heathrow, but we took a train to the Crystal Palace Bowl to see Lenny Kravitz on Sat night and then took a train to Brighton Bch the on Sunday. Bright Bch is a must visit in our opinion. Only an hour each way and 70 pounds round trip for both of us. 10 minute walk right through the middle of town and you're at the beach. Lastly, the area is wicked clean and the people are very nice and helpful. We felt safe every where went, even late night. If you are visiting London for the first time like us, you can't go wrong with London Victoria and the Riu.
