The included activities are an added bonus and a great way to meet new people. Every staff member always had a smile on their face and nothing was too much trouble.

Great welcoming reception, seamless stay and close to everything

Apartment overlooked the beach, the complex seems smaller than it actually was as the apartment was very quiet and private. Cannot fault it for a family stay, close to everything great facilities and great local restaurants. We will be back.

The room and facilities were very nice and we definitely had a comfortable stay. However, check-in took quite a long time, despite three employees on the desk. Two of them appeared to be struggling with iPads. There was a family who apparently had been waiting until 3pm for their room when check-in is from 2pm. You are also asked to send through room service via the app, but when it comes to the payment screen it didn't work. We tried multiple devices and credit cards before phoning reception who took our order. It seems like Shangri-La has possibly cut back the budget for staff and their systems and it shows as things aren't as streamlined as you'd expect for this brand.

We were on the roadside-- but still very quiet. Parking off street available but we parked on the road as it was closer to our unit. Loved the indoor/ outdoor living. Coffee on room available. 5 minute walk to the beach, cafes and restaurants. Very safe town and very friendly. We used the pool and hottub daily. Jim waa very pleasant and helped us plan our day trip up to Daintree and the young fellow that works there suggested the croc tour-- which was AMAZING!! Bed was made up 1x (we were there 5 nights) which was fine, new towels were given 2x during our stay. We also asked for new pool towels which we recieved at the front desk and also asked for an extra umbrella--just a 'little' rain fell! Loved Palm Cove and thanks expedia for the $35 gift cert. to one of the restaurants.

We had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel in Cairns and couldn’t be happier with our experience. The location is absolutely perfect—right in the heart of Cairns, yet still peaceful and quiet. Everything you need is within easy walking distance: the beach, restaurants, cafés, and shops are all just about 200 metres away, which made getting around effortless, especially as a family. The hotel itself was exceptionally clean and very well maintained. From the rooms to the common areas, everything felt fresh, comfortable, and thoughtfully cared for. We also felt very safe throughout our stay, which is incredibly important when travelling with family. What really sets this place apart, though, is the people. It’s family owned, and you can genuinely feel it in the way the owners and staff treat their guests. The hospitality was sincere, warm, and welcoming—not forced or scripted. They went out of their way to make us feel at home, always happy to help, give local tips, or simply have a friendly chat. It was a fantastic family stay, and we created great memories here. If you’re looking for a clean, safe, centrally located hotel with heart and outstanding hospitality, this place is a gem. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cairns.
