Panduwasnuwara Ski Vacations

Spent two nights, 3 days at this property recently while touring around at Pinnawela, Sigiriya, Dambulla and Minneriya. Great location to visit all those sites. Excellent service with a smile. Buffets were plentiful and delicious, great variety. Pool was so relaxing and lush gardens that were well kept really felt like paradise. Disappointed after Covid there is no spa/massage option as that would have been perfect. Stayed in a large room with separate room with door. 2 adults, 3 teens. Teens loved the food, pool and lush gardens. Special mention to Ravi and Felix who were very attentive to us during our stay.

We are architects and the property is one of the most architecturally significant modern properties in Sri Lanka blending vernacular architecture with modern design. It’s fabulous considering a slightly odd site accessed only via a new bridge. The architecture and furniture and some of the best I’ve seen. The staff are great and friendly. slightly too over attentive at meal times but that’s probably just me! The only shortfall is the integration of the amenities into the overall operation - it needs a designated bar (apparently in the works) as after dinner the only option is to go to your villa room. Not a problem per se but would be nice to socialise a bit after. During the day if you hang out at the property we missed some attentive drinks and snacks being considered for the pool area (lovely pool overlooking the pady fields!) when you felt slightly left to your own devises. If this was a soho house there would be someone around acknowledging your presence and servicing from time to time - you have to go and find the staff who then they snap into action. A bit snoozy if you are trying to have a fun time! - major issue is the lack of variety of drinks - beers and wines only - I could have done with a gin and tonic or two beside the pool - slightly not understanding why management haven’t worked this out (I know licensing is tricky in Sri Lanka) as I would have probably spent 50% more on my extra/ ove bill (over and above the half board) if this had been worked through 4/5!

Bathroom felt congested. Food was 3 star. Great property and staff services. Not the best value for money.

Cinnamon Lodge is an excellent base for exploring the area. The property is spacious, the accommodations comfortable and the staff beyond hospitable.

We had a fabulous stay. The hotel is beautiful and the staff wonderful, particularly our butler, Prasanna.

Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Cute pool aerea.

They are lovely people and allowed me in the room early after a short sleep in the communal area, thanks. The big problem was my included transport from the airport, it was late in the night 2am, it was delayed to 3am and the last message was I will be there. I waited till 4.15 am sending messages and calling. Eventually took an expensive airport taxi, 13,000 rupees, the excuse "my phone battery" but the taxi driver managed to ring and then later I realise you own no car and book taxis. Lovely people overpromising. Room is of the standard you would expect at the cheap price.

Had a really nice stay here, clean room, lovely staff and yummy food. Didn't get to use the pool but good rooftop with views!
