Hotel location was great, room was comfortable, breakfast buffet was good with grwat variety, room and view was beautiful. Only thing i did not like was the glasses in my room had faded, visible lip marks. They were not cleaned very well. Otherwise, the hotel was great and I would stay again.

Overall our stay was good , although let down by a couple of issues . Surprised that when returning from our concert around 11.20pm , the bar had been closed and could only get a drink by queuing at reception . The fact there was a lot of returning guests after the concert meant there was a bit of a wait. Seemed like a strange decision on a Friday night , after a big concert . Especially as I’d just stayed the on the previous Sunday for another concert and Bar was open. Also heard from some of the guests about whether food would be available , which they were told it would be … there wasn’t , therefore Uber eats was doing the food. Also a bit disappointed that in morning went for a shower , only to find … no hot water available . Reported to reception on check out. Overall I like the Village Hotel . Would like to add that the night porters where excellent and worked hard to get everyone drinks… not their fault .

Friendly staff, good location for both railway stations. Good breakfast selection

One of the bed bases was broken, we told the receptionist in the morning but they just said we should have called maintenance. Didn’t get in till 2am , we’re hardly going to call anyone up at that time. It should have been reported by cleaning staff . It was very obviously broken once you pulled the quilt back

Be aware of additional charges for spa and parking

Easy booking. Not too far from the city centre and attractions.

Room was small and basic but clean and had a little kettle etc to let you make a cuppa in your room. The food was great we had a meal in the evening and breakfast in morning both very good. Staff welcoming. Plenty parking.

Clean room, friendly staff and a superb breakfast. Can't go wrong for the price
