What works: The property has a good location, close to the pyramids. The staff is pleasant. What does not match up: The property is a very basic and is not set up to be a hotel. Rooms are not at all like the pictures we see, there is no housekeeping, food is good but very poor service, no amenities, flickering lights, shower that does not work… They did not recognise the confirmed booking I had ( via Expedia). Hotel is not recommended unless you are looking for a hostel experience.

The staff were very welcoming. The room was very cosy and oversaw the beautiful pyramids.

Dar Pyramids has a fantastic view of pyramids. Rooms are nice. However the highlight is the staff and how friendly and warm and welcoming they are. They offer favours and will always make sure you are taken care of. The service and attention was better than some high end resorts.

Hicimos una hermosa estadía en el hotel. Una vista única desde la hermosa y gran habitación que nos tocó y mejor aún desde el desayunador, una especie de terraza. Aparentemente es un hotel en crecimiento, se ven obras en varios pisos. (Muy prometedor). La atención fue más que excelente. La relación calidad precio es más que satisfactoria. A nosotros nos tocó que fueron a buscarnos al aeropuerto gratis. La zona no es muy linda, muchos negocios y mucha gente y puede ser ruidoso (como toda la ciudad). Pero si te mueves con los consejos deo hotel no tendrás problemas. Aconsejo seguirlos, yo no los segui al principio y me arrepentí. Estamos muy agradecidos!!

The Soul Pyramids staff were polite, pleasant & considerate & could not do any more to make us feel welcome (this came without the haggling and hassle that is common / to be expected in Egypt once you leave the hotel complex). When there was an issue with the air conditioning, they gave us another comparable room and organised a technician to fix it straight away. There are shops, restaurants and the pyramids literally at your doorstep. Sunrise/ Sunset/ Breakfast or anytime on the rooftop gives you the best unblocked views of the pyramids you could hope for. Added bonus is getting a room with pyramid views.
